Smiles all round for today!

Just a great day overall, much better performance and finally a result at home with more then 1 goal. Also of corse the atmosphere was just crazy, I havn't had that much fun in a long time down The Valley. A proud day for us all. It just felt like a breath of fresh air down there today. I can't stop smiling, I actually had a tear of joy driving home today.

I understand some may moan at me for what might be a pointless thread but I just had to show my happyness and hope this lasts for us all :-)

Yes and that lol. It's all good indeed.
  • Not pointless at all. I actually thought the atmosphere was flat in the first half but in the second it was much more like it.
  • No moaning from me jazzy, good post and I completly agree.

Yeah same, once the first went in though it all changed. Brilliant day in every way possible.
  • I'm happy nobody has tryed to bring my mood down :-)

And yes I agree Bedsaddick it was rather flat in the first halk but still miles better then normal.
  • The ending with Powell in the tunnel was brilliant. Good to have a happy valley with everyone behind the team again.
  • Atomsphere was terrible you ask me
  • Amazing what a bit of patience can do.

Agree that atmosphere a bit flat in 1st half but also sensed some optimism. Knew at half time it wouldn't be 0-0 and once Waggy's goal went in, thought there was a collective sigh of relief.

    Onwards!
  • The happiest I've been at the Valley for a LONG time.

  • Did anyone else have a tear in their eye when Powell came out of the tunnel before the game to the crowd's delight? or was it just me?

    It wasn't just you....

    Not just you 100%
  • Great to see the North upper and lower fuller than it has been for some time. The bouncing looked great. If we continue to build, play some decent passing football, with some quality additions to the squad then the crowds will come back. I was proud of the team and of the club today, and it reminded me of why Charlton is my club. Proud that Chris Powell is our manager.
  • I really needed that yesterday, a very emotional game for me, sang VFR with more passion than usual I did.

Just a great day in Charlton history.

    10 more of those please.
  • any one got any vids of the bouncy ;)
