Patrick Kisnorbo if he recovers fully from his injury - formally at Leicester now Leeds. Would be a quality signing in this division or the championship, if fully fit.

Was MOM at Elland road last year. Very solid. I've also seen him playing centre mid for Hearts and is quite creative. Great shout, but from a balance point of view we have a number of experienced CBs.
All we need is someone like Le Fondre and and a CM who can get us passing, which in turn will take pressure off defence! Not many defences can take 45 minutes worth of pressure and not crumble at this level! (like sat) Just need to keep the ball better ourselves so the defence are not under constant pressure!

It's the defence that invite the pressure by dropping so deep and not moving out when we get possession.
CP's problem, he's seen very few games, we only have two more before window shuts and it's hard to gauge where the problems are in training. Two young quick centre-halves please Chris. Is James Wilson of Bristol City over his injury? How much would Legge of Brentford cost?

Le Fondre would be silly money and is currently in a goal drought.
[cite]Posted By: Scoham[/cite]Surely we don't need two new centre backs?
There's no way we're going up if we keep defending on our 18 yard line - it means we play the match in our half, can only end in tears. If Dailly and Doc are too slow to be confident of pushing up, they'll have to go. To quote the Weakest Link "but will the (management) team realise that?"
We currently have 3 loans signings, the maximum is 5. Are we really going to go in for another loan???? Its nothing against the quality of the players, and im not questionning their commitment.....but say we get an injury to one of the keepers, at the same time matt fry is out injured, what do we do if there is only one loan place we can fill. This is why i wouldnt be suprised to see martin go back to ipswich.

You can have as many loans as you want. You can only name 5 in the matchday squad.

ok sorry, that makes sense then. Now i recall us having 6 loans at the end of last season, and i remember matt fry never making the subs bech because of this.
[cite]Posted By: fatboyshort[/cite]I think Doc, Daily, Llera are too similar.
We need a CB who is good at reading the game, he doesn't need to be a wippet but quick enough to not give away 10yards before he has even started.
I make this right. It isn't just that we defend too deep for fear of being outpaced, we can't seem to defend effectively dead ball situations. That to me, smacks of poor organisation and weak leadership on the pitch.
having said that we started the season with;
a right back who had just won player of the year at his previous club.
3 c/h's that (imo) any team in the rest of our division wouldn't've turned down. 1 (doc) gained promotion, another (dailly) won player of the year and the 3rd (fortune) has significant prem/champ experience.
we've got a young prem loanee at left back.
add to that the protection infront of the back 4 from semedo (another player that imo no-one in our division would turn down).
as a full back himself, i'd like to think powell would get more out of the qualities listed to tighten up.
Dependent on Solly's injury and whether Jenkinson is seen as a genuine first team player (or maybe he may go on loan again and be seen as a player for next season?), I think we may go for someone like Seip again. Some of the criticism of Francis is a little too much but he needs competition and a lot more consistency.
Would like to see Fry play CB- this is his preferred postion after all and I think his recent performances at LB have dipped a little, the only problem would be who would play LB as Jackson is far less effective there.
We are a much better side with Dailly there but no one else has really proved themselves to be good enough to play week in week out imho.
Comments
cant see us spending much money in the way of transfers to be honest....
But I think a right back and centre back should be priorities (aswell as renewing frys loan to the end of the season)

CB is a must.

when does the loan window shut?

As a former left back and finding out we don't actually have one will be addressed ASAP.
Seip was very much Tim Breaker's player; they were together at Argyle.
Now Breaker's gone, I doubt we'll see Seip in the squad here again.
