I think they should scrap the current in-game display format, I think the information it provides a bit unneeded and cluttered into a small space.
IMO All that is needed during the game is the graphic they have currently during full-time and half-time (that displays the score with the respective club name above/below), added to the amount of time played being stuck on the bottom in a big clear, readable to the whole stadium font. It may be possible with that format to move away from displaying our score for 1/2mins to update us on latest scores from the rest of the league, with the possibility of a live league table (showing both halves over two 'slides' if neccessary) as the scores change? May be useful towards the end of the season.

Sounds good. Or maybe goal flashes from other games in our league ?
At Colchester away they were able to show replay's of key incidents - is this a possibility ? I thought for some reason you weren't allowed to show replay's during the game but obviously not.
The sponsor's (beam team excluded) need to create an advert that wouldn't look out of place on a billboard. They were very small and a complete waste of time.
Also add a picture of Nelson Munz pointing at the away fans with a "Hah Hah" caption each time the opposition misses a sitter.

That would be fantstic ! Jeff Stelling drinking game with 15,000 other addicks !
Guys, you are all missing the point here, it was explained to us that what was in place on Saturday was a small version of a larger screen we will have in place next season.
I think one of the reasons it was rushed through was for the minutes applause, next years bigger screen will obviously make everything appear a lot bigger ie info, time, sponor ads etc.
I was glad to see it back, its another statement from the new owners, adds a little more to the feel good factor around the place and brightens up a very dull corner of the ground

We're not all missing the point - I am aware of the fact that it's temporary.
[quote][cite]Posted By: Henry Irving[/cite] Would be good to have the shirt sponsors name up there bigger and for longer. [/quote] THAT would be good!! Screen looked fine from halfway-line, Lower West. There was also quite a gasp from early-comers when the screen showed the Sky replay of Rooney's goal around 2.30pm!!
[cite]Posted By: Granpa[/cite]Buy yourself a Charlton watch you old meanie.
I did,it never worked!!
Screen looked good and it was nice to have back, the font was a bit small and unreadable but as has been said its temporary. Good job done with more to come.
Good to see the screen working but I hope that the new one will be slightly higher as it not visible from F block in the east stand once the crowd arrive.
Couldn't hear a word of his half-time interview, was looking at the dugout to see where he was when they announced a word from Chris Powell. After about a minute, glanced at the screen to see him there with nearly no audible volume whatsoever.
There was no volume when it was shown before the game. There was a bit of volume when they re-played it at half time, but not enough to be able to make out what he was saying.

From where I sit in the East Stand it was fine, although i can understand the problems some may have from the Covered end

It is temporary and new software is promised.

I think Clubs can show replays but not of controversial incidents like fouls for penalties or bizarre disallowed goals.

Good to have that back - confuses the opposition!
