What do we think the sequence of events has been? Here's my take on it...

News came out that CAFC were speaking to Eddie Howe. Chris Powell thought, "Hang on a minute, I'm seven years older than him and have almost as much managerial experience and CAFC is my club." He then threw his hat in the ring, and CAFC started backpeddling on doing a deal with Howe. The rest, we hope, is history....

I reckon Howe turned us down along with the scummers and thought he would stay at AFCB. Which alone is odd.
But then to be lured by the mighty Burnley, and be on the brink of joining them makes me think he regretted his decision to stay at AFCB and jumped on the next offer.

Did not want to join us or the other lot, used the old loyalty thing (apparently told players he was staying, including asking a couple to block their possible transfers) and then Burnley flash the Sky parachute cash and hey pesto Mr Howe alienates his Bournemouth Players and fans...... see thats loyalty for you.
  • If it scuppers the morale in the cherries camp I'm satisfied. Sorry, not nice...

    Strange turn around if true....

Personally I think Howe would have been top of our list anyway, things just took a bit of a turn...
