[cite]Posted By: SurreyAddick[/cite]Deffo Dont want a guy who pledges allegiance to Bournemouth on Tuesday and two days later is considering another offer!!
Is he actually considering it though? Just because Burnley apporached them doesn't mean he is thinking of leaving.
I honestly can't believe what he's doing. Surely he should tell Burnley where to go in 10 seconds flat. How he can be deliberating again after that long speech face to face with fans just over 48 hours ago is beyond me.
I really wanted him down here, thought he was the brightest up-and-comer out there and had a fantastic attitude to boot. How wrong I might've been.
quite possible howe was interviewed and not offered it - maybe powell can get his hands on some of leicester's fringe players as well as i'm sure sven will bring more new faces in.

I'm also glad he didn't get/take the job. No proven track record apart from his current job, and unlike Powell, he has no affiliation with the club. As i've said in another thread, as we've decided to go down the route of unproven manager, i can't think of a better option than Chrissy-boy.
Interesting that the Bournemouth Chairman mentions an official approach from Burnley and compensation. Dont recall this re Charlton - maybe we never made an official approach for Howe??
In the thread about Gary Johnson, people were saying how crazy it would be to sack our manager while 5th and employ one who was sacked at 7th. The same logic can be applied to why Howe may have turned us down, where something didn't convince him. It could have been the spectre of Wise in the background, perhaps the extent of our backing couldn't be revealed or he didn't get on with the smooth-talking Himinez. We'll never know. I still think he was the best candidate on paper. I hope Chris works out for us but don't think his c.v. is as strong, but there's nothing to stop him replicating what Howe achieved at Bournemouth.
Really can't figure out what Howe is up to. It's Burnley we are talking about for flips sake not Liverpool and to go back on what he was saying only earlier this week is baffling to say the least. Everything I've ever heard about Howe indicated he was about more than just money but in the end maybe not. Okay we're in a division below and they've got the parachute cash to splash but are Burnley a better longer term bet than we were? If he doesn't get instant success there he'll be out on his ear with a big dip in his reputation. Here, as we will no doubt see with Chrissy, he would have had time to build a side with a Premiership infrastructure. And he'll have to live up north.
