Stuart Pearce?

edited January 2011 in General Charlton
I don't think we should ignore the possibility of Mr Pearce coming to Charlton especially with Slater's links to Manchester City. Personally I think this this would be good due to the style of play he adopts and we would maybe get some of his under 21 squad on loan. ;DD

  • Would still rather have Sir Chrissie, but Pearce is a better shout than many of the other names in the frame.

Doubt it very much, being lined up for next England manager and will i think lead the English team in the olympics

Agree, hope not but possibly, and agree that it is likely.
  • Is he any good though? I know if I was a player I would dread going in at half time a goal down, but is that enough?

I heard last night that Wales are refusing to support a GB team in the Olympics and will not release any of their players, not sure how this will effect the bigger picture but if it does have an impact we will not have a GB team in the football tourny.
  • Wont want to take the risk of staining his CV before he gets the England job,
  • zero chance of Pearce even considering us IMO
  • I rate him very highly, as does Fabio, and look forward to seeing him manage England. No chance of him coming here and giving that up, as I expect he's a man who wants to give his all to whatever he does.

    Psycho! Psycho!

Wales are doing that to offset the embarassing fact that only 1 of their players would be called up anyway.(Bale) :-)
