Now that he has failed his medical at Reading should we try and get him on loan?

Apparently Plymouth need to get him off their wage bill.

Even if he was going to be out for the rest of the season, in the past it wouldn't probably stopped us trying to sign him given our record with injured signings...

dodgy knee(s) by the sounds of the BBC report.

Wasn't that the reason why we didn't sign Ricardo Fuller, due to his knees?
  • I would think another Championship club would take a punt

Nevertheless, in signing Eccleston we now have two BWP-type strikers

I don't think we'll be seeing another nippy striker come in this month, if we do pursue another forward I would imagine it would be a more technical or physical -type striker than BWP

With Ricardo Fuller, we agreed a deal and he went into hospital for an operation on his back, which i believe Charlton partly funded. When he came out of hospital he increased his wage demands and we told him to take a hike. Remember seeing him at Welling on trial, he scored two goals and looked the dogs dangly bits.

We were on the verge of signing him for £1m, when we disovered he had a spine problem (curvateur?) so cancelled the deal. We paid for him top have a back operation and then had him on trial, but he did not recover sufficiently and we released him. He then went on trialat Palce before signing for Hearts and then Preston and Pompeyand of course now Stoke.

Apart form that I can't really remember much about him. (NB I haven't checked the above for complete accuracy, but I think its roughly right)

    Thanks chaps
  • If he has failed a medical we should stay well clear we already have 2 injury prone forwards and one overweight forward
