CRYSTAL Palace have made an improved offer to Eddie Howe - as they refuse to lose the Bournemouth boss to South London rivals Charlton.
The 33-year-old had seemed on the verge of joining the Addicks later today after holding lengthy talks with the League One club on Sunday.
But the South London Press has been told that Palace have upped their offer to the highly-rated boss - while Bournemouth are also desperate to try and put together a package to keep him at Dean Court.
It is an incredible tug-of-war for Howe's services, with Burnley also making an offer.

You don't make an official statement to say "Well we tried but it's off, we'll keep looking and try harder next time" do you?
Not if you don't want to come over as weak and openly admit to failing you don't...

As of 6pm tonight i have decided to retire from international football and concentrate on my ballroom dancing.
Frankly, at your age it's shameful to retire from international football. If your country needs you, you should flippin' well be chomping at the bit!
Footballs loss will be dancings gain!
