Llera and Abbott....

edited January 2011 in General Charlton
..Wonder if those two are still running up and down that touchline !

Poor fellas must have covered about 6 miles each warming up for nowt.

Expect the club to get a bill through from Spurs for a strip of replacement turf !

  • And Jenkinson - was about to come on and the end but got pulled back.

He was gutted according to Twitter.
  • Both should be grateful they even got the chance to be named in a squad and got to warm up at a premier league ground.
  • Re Llera and Abbott - from what I've read on here, running up and down beside the pitch is called finding their level!
  • Abbott played a slide rule pin point pass to a Spuds player to take a throw in. It was pure class.
  • Llera kept talking to VdV, I can only assume it was VdV asking for Llera's autograph and shirt after the game
  • felt sorry for Jenkinson. Should have been given 5 mins at the end. Game was over and would have been a good booster for the kid.

Probably banter about the World Cup Final.
  • I thought they had a splendid game , running up and down the touchline , i hope they don't venture onto the pitch next time
  • Didn't put a foot wrong either of them, fautless performance.

But some people will stay say they are not good enough.

    *shakes head in despair*
  • Just as well Andy D'Urso wasn't the ref. Might have called the game off with such a dodgy touchline.

Thought that was the only tactical error Peacock made.

He was about to throw him on , and I thought great decision, throw in on for 5 mins experience on a sold-out Premiership ground. Then something changed his mind.

I was remembering how bitterly dissapointed Benson was to miss the game due to suspension because he said he'd never playd on a prem ground. Would have been very good for the lad yesterday and slightly puzzled why KP changed his mind as there was nothing to lose...
  • Semedo went down and had treatment so maybe wanted to see how that panned out

    reserves game

Both scored today, maybe the seasons taking a turn for the better for the two of them?
  • From Sam's OS link above: "As ever the level of professionalism shown by the senior players to help the young pros was great".

Talking about getting several more reserve games played in the next few weeks.
    Good thing in my book.

Absolutely, I like him a lot and 5 minutes at the end wouldn't have done any harm.
