Elliot - 7 some good saves
Francis - 6.5 Got up and down wing well but bad final delivery
Dailly -6.5 Kept it tight apart from the 15 minutes after half time
Doherty -6.5 Emmense in the air not so good on the ground
Fry -6.5 Did his job but got overrun at times
Wagstaff -7 Looked more like his old self
Racon - 7 helped run the midfield in the 1st half
Semedo -7 same as Racon , Modric changed the game
McOXO - 7 Best game for charlton so far in the 1st half unlucky to be subbed but at that stage we needed to chase the game and Modric had done his damage , but will not come up against a player of that quality in L1
Jackson - 7 Competent good delivery which provided our best 1st half chance
Anyinsah -7 Tried hard buit not a natural solo striker , maybe should have come off the bench
Reid -7 Back to his old self looked interested and effective . Why has he been so off colour recently ?
N/A Sodje - 7 An effective battering ram with no elegance at all . Maybe he should have been the lone striker ?

Elliot -7.5 Could have been a cricket score without some top drawer saves
Francis - 8 (based on 1st half when he thought he was micah richards
    Dailly - 8
Doherty - 9 like a rock at the back
Fry - 8 thought he was very accomplished in first half
Wagstaff - 9 very busy and worked well in the role off the front man
    Racon - 9
Semedo - 10 the black Beckenbauer yesterday
    McOXO - 8
    Jackson - 9
    Anyinsah -9
    Reid - 8
N/A Sodje - 7 (not on for long and was unlucky not to score)

Peacock 10.... Gave his limited team the freedom and confidence to play positively and have a go against far superior oppo.
  • Elliot - 9 Some outstanding saves
Francis - 7.5 best defensive display for ages
    Dailly - 7.5 Solid
Doherty - 8 So many blocks
Fry - 6.5 Difficult role but stuck to it, drew best save from Cuddacini (Sp)
Wagstaff - 7 Back to what he can do
Racon - 7 wasn't as impressed as others have been but did well
Semedo - 8.5 Great battling display
McCormack - 7.5 Very good performance
Jackson - 6.5 Good but not great
Anyinsah - 7.5 tireless running and movement
Reid - 7.5 had an impact
N/A Sodje - 7 Should have scored once or even twice. Lead the line well

Now up to the players to show the same for the next 25 or so league games regardless of the opposition or who the manager is.

  • Elliot - 6.5 - he does love getting beaten by a long range effort
    Francis - 7.5
    Dailly - 7
    Doherty - 7
Fry - 5 - did his best but given a torrid time by Townsend
    Wagstaff - 7

  • Elliot - 7 Initially thought he should have done better with Townsend's shot but replay showed he was probably unsighted and saw it very late.
Francis - 7 Final ball lacking at times but stuck to his task well
Dailly - 7 solid blocks only exposed when they really started running at us once Modric came on
    Doherty - 7 see Dailly
Fry - 7 Townsend gave him a torrid time but he stuck at it
Wagstaff - 7.5 a lot of hard defensive work off the ball supporting the back 4 against the pace of Spurs whilst also managing to feature in attack occasionally
Racon - 7 did some good stuff but seemed to disappear early in the second half when Spurs had their scoring purple patch
Semedo - 8 something like the form he can but often hasn't produced this season
McOXO - 7 less anonymous than usual and added a bit of midfield solidity
Jackson - 7.5 obviously up for it and unlucky to be denied a goal by a great save from Cudicini
Anyinsah - 7 Tried hard but a losing battle on his tod against a prem defence
Reid - 7.5 had an impact and but for Cudicini could have scored
N/A Sodje - 7 awkward as usual and, I know not why, seemed to have more impact than Joe
  • Elliot 7.5 Some good saves and didn't look overawed.
Francis 8 Defensively sound and attacked when he could. Some of his crosses weren't great but why is he expected to do what the wingers can't? Passed the ball well.
Fry 5 Really struggled at times and got suckered for Defoe's first (should have left his man and blocked the space). BUT he kept going and did get better. Terrific long shot...more of those please.
Dailly 6.5 Not his best but did ok.
Doherty 8 Two mega blocks and quite a few tackles. Good late header and lets hope he starts getting on the end of a few more corners now.
McCormack 7 Did exactly what the manager wanted. Very steady.
Racon 7.5 Really good 1st half. Lost it a bit in the 2nd but overall had a good game.
Semedo 8 Kept the whole thing ticking over and covered a lot of ground.
Wagstaff 6 Good 1st half but disappeared a bit 2nd. The advanced role suited him and he performed it well. Seemed reluctant to use his pace 2nd half...keeps looking to play the ball back.
Anyinsah 6 Good 1st half but was a non-event 2nd half. The one up front system was always going to knock the b*llocks out of him.
Reid 8 Open nature of the game suited him. Inch perfect through ball to Sodje and lots of other decent stuff. System suited him.
Sodje 7 Had three chances. The Reid through ball, when he stopped for a half second, the glanced header from a corner and the slow deliberate cut in and shoot. Probably needs to be paired with Anyinsah.
  • Sorry forgot....

Jackson 6 - One decent run/cross 1st half and not a lot else offensively. Kept his position well.

  • Elliot - 6.5 - thought he should have done better with the first, made a couple of good saves as well though.
Francis - 6.5 - solid performance, certainly not humiliated as I feared he might be.
Dailly - 8 - showed Premier League pedigree, some crucial last ditch blocks and good distribution.
    Doherty - 8 - as above.
Fry - 7.5 - wish that shot had gone in!
    Wagstaff - 7 - made a nuisance of himself.
Racon - 7.5 - caught in possession a couple of times but looked our best chance of creating something.
Semedo - 8.5 - others had clearly raised there game, he just looked comfortable at a higher level.
McOXO - 6.5 - didn't really notice him, but usually when I do its bad!
Jackson - 7 - unsurprisingly a bit more restricted as an attacking threat than usual.
Anyinsah - 7 - looked quite well suited to playing up front on his own.
Reid - 7 - shame it was game over by the time he came on, looked dangerous.
Sodje - 6.5 - got himself a couple of chances, just doesn't look like a natural footballer.

  • Elliot - 8 couple of good saves, kicking not the best again but overall did well.
Francis - 7.5 best he has played for a long time. Needs to work on crossing though.
Dailly - 7 solid, better than Swindon.
Doherty - 7.5 excellent blocks, got done by Defoe but did not disgrace himself.
Fry - 6 not his best, but Townsend played well. experience will only benefit Fry.
Wagstaff - 7 as said above, back to the Waggy of early season. Unlucky not to score.
Racon - 7 ok, outshone by Semedo.
Semedo - 8.5 excellent. showed yesterday why he is so vital to the team.
McOXO - 7 best game for us.
Jackson - 6 not his best, but disciplined and got forward well in first half.
Anyinsah - 7.5 worked hard, stretched their defence but tired in the second half.
Reid - 7 flashes of skill, added another dimension and hope he will soon be back to his best.
N/A Sodje- 6 should have scored, looked dangerous and would be good to see him with Joe.

  • Elliot - 7.5 - Some good saves, the one from the free kick sticks in the memory
Francis - 7 - Best I've seen him, crossing only real let-down but still put a great corner in for Doherty
Dailly - 7 - Solid and calm under pressure
Doherty - 7.5 - Great in the air, forced Cudicini into a good save from a corner
Fry - 6.5 - Townsend caused him problems but unlucky with his shot
Wagstaff - 7 - Looked sharper and more up for it today, unlucky not to score in the first half
Racon - 8 - Some quality touches, when he plays well he is very good
Semedo - 9 - Outstanding. Looked like he could cope with those sort of players more regularly
McOXO - 7.5 - Impressive today, much better than Swindon
Jackson - 6.5 - Not as good as he has been but still tried hard and kept going
Anyinsah - 7 - Led the line well, up against two good centre-backs though
Reid - 7.5 - Back to his old self. Looked up for it and high on confidence
Sodje - 7 - Could win more in the air but unlucky not to score, could have had a couple
