They clearly play better without Parkinson's gloomy influence.

Semedo decided to show us he could still be a Premiership player.

    Anyinsah didn't get injured.

Keith Peacock achieved his life's ambition .

    Defoe didn't get a hat-trick.

Nobody called the new owners ''liars''.

Dennis Wise wasn't unveiled as the new manager at the post-match press conference.

McOxo hasn't tweeted where he's going for supper (yet).

The wag who said Mac was subbed after an hour because he was feeling peckish.

And we can now ''concentrate on the league''.
  • I hate Spurs and thought we would be thrashed 12-0 ??
  • We've got more toilets at The Valley.

The houses where I live have 1 front door, not 2.
  • I'm not a yid!

    I second that!
  • Have had an awesome day boozing, watching footy and it wasn't the 6 or 7 nil drubbing I was fearing..

Hmm! I think you'll find that some Charlton supporters are "yids" and might find the term offensive. Care to edit, lads? Your call.

    Semedo's performance
    Overall team performance
    We were not embarassed
Reid showed flashes of his old form in his cameo
Francis was not as terrible as I thought he may be
    I don't live in Tottenham

i understand your point but ask yourself this when tottenham sing

" Who let the Yids out"

    Yid Army

    Yiddoooo

    does that offend you

i believe the boys above are not saying good job i aint a Jew which would be offensive and bang out of order.

A Yid in footballing terms is widely regarded as a tottingham fan

If you do find it offensive i really would contact a solicitor and sue Tottenham hotspur for allowing such offensive behaviour take place week in week out at they football ground.

The best positive for me was the performance of the players both before during and after the game

I ment Yid as being a nickname for a spurs fan... Not a jewish person itself! I didn't mean no offence!
  • didn't have prawn sandwich's in the box but had some lovely pork and crackling !!
  • We played good football, through the midfield, for the whole first half and at times in the second. Semedo was immense. We looked a totally different (better) side than in Monday's rout. Well done Keith and Damien!

And some black people use, as an intended irony, the N word. That's up to them, and I don't think it entitles any of the rest of us to do so. These terms are pejorative and do have their roots in racial stereotyping and persecution. I think they can and do cause hurt and offence, and are best avoided. Just my opinion.
  • "How did the game go"?

    "We lost 3-0"

"How do you feel about Charlton after that scoreline"?

    "Very positive"
  • Good team spirit and fighting display without main front men Benson and Martin
We must remember we are a League One side without a league win since November and without a manager going to one of the current top four teams in the country (I know weakened)

Lets now kick on with a new man in charge ....Whoever ??
  • i dont find it acceptable for black people to say the n word personally

A man after my own blackened heart!
  • Jermaine Defoe - where's your bro ?

    They don't
  • I'm not a yid

    Hope it offends

    Best Wishes

    Racist
  • That 5 spurs fans at northumberland park digging out 3 charlton fans go very very quiet when 20 charlton fans behind them make themselves known.

    Yippeee I aaaaaaaaa
  • sounds like typical yids hunting in packs and bricking it when numbers even up
  • Loved our spell of passing in the first half, ending with Jackson nutmegging the Spurs player
  • Cracking day out - from 10.00 in the White Hart 'till 7.00 in TheGrey Horse. And i was lucky to be sitting next to asford-addick, introduced ourselves via CL - TOP FELLA
  • Nah we had agood laugh after that. ruined their fat 'leader' and all good fun all round
  • 3-0 flatters them - it was 10 or 15 minutes when we fell apart and/or they upped their game. The rest of the time I thought we could maybe have got a draw.

The big positive for me is that if we can take that form into our league games we're on for automatic promotion.
  • Gilbert Gilbert. Spurs fans call themselves yids. That is their nickname in as much we are addicks. Please do not slag off your own fans. I was out with a yiddo last night in his own words.

i tried and failed B hope you do better
  • the way we competed and created a few chances first half.

the loud and constant support we gave.

keith peacock being given the chance to manage charlton

anyinsah competing well with their back four

semedo and racon holding their own against a prem side (albeit that once they put modric on he absolutely ruined us - no matter how powerful a tackler or runner you are, there's no substitute for real craft)

a lovely dinner and the knowledge that pat jennings hair is still as wavy and wiry as it was 30 years ago - he is a spurs legend and has a hospitality suite named after him - wonder if sol campbell will get one? not sure how pat is so revered by spurs considering he moved to arsenal?

our new owners seeing that we can actually get behind the team and if they give us something to support we'll bloody well sing our hearts out.
