The fella that hit him had a red and white striped scarf tied round his arm
Truly bizarre
Strange.
Great to hear an angry Newcastle fan on 606 praising Stevenage and lambasting his new manager. He quite rightly ridiculed Pardew's outrageous claims that his poor lads were down to the "bare bones" (9 regular first-teamers) and always likely to struggle on the physical side (with Barton, Nolan et al). So, in a nutshell, not having a young centre forward who's probably played about 50 games available is a perfectly reasonable excuse for losing to Stevenage.
It just bears all the hallmarks of his usual bullshit; incredibly he's already making pathetic excuses to cover his own arse, rather than take a closer look at his tactical masterstroke - putting on Niall Ranger. I grudgingly expected his little honeymoon to go on longer than this but his arrogant refusal to apologise for anything he's ever done could well find him out again sooner than any of us could've hoped.
Supposedly the fan asked for his shirt and the playe said no and was then hit, he was probably mullered. Pardew's press conference was utterly ridiculous, hopefully his fall from grace starts here.
They have found out who it is also. On a Stevanage forum there was a little hunt for him! The red and white scarf was an Arsenal scarf aswell apparently. What a donut
Disgrace, knocking the geezer out on the pitch is one thing but this............................Magistrates in Stevenage heard Fitzgerald also threw a partly-eaten burger at Mr Laird at one point.
"Magistrates were also told that in 2005 Fitzgerald had been jailed for six-and-a-half years for inflicting grievous bodily harm. He was released from prison in 2008."
So not only a convicted thug but rather dim to punch someone on live TV.

Agree with Nolly, what a coward.

Then he'll probably get asked to manage the Qatar international team or something.
Some people are just born lucky.
Or maybe Coked up? or roid rage?
Maybe the Stevanage player had shagged his missus or something. Out of order though

Jesus, that article looks like it's been written by a chimp. Don't they bother proof reading?
Lock him up and throw away the key.

I bet she'll be getting upheld nightly by some other fella once he's inside doing another 6 1/2 year stretch!
So he should be out in about 6 months then.
Er, no wait hang on....
