[cite]Posted By: cafc_4life[/cite]Has to be Coventry 2 v 3 charlton (fa cup - Jan 2000)
2-0 down to premiership covenrty and then goals from Robinson and Newton level it before half time and then Hunt scored in the last couple of minutes. Was only 11 at the time but can rememeber them sining to us "You're worse than Aston Villa" after they went 2-0 up, only for us to sing it 10 times louder after Hunts goal. still makes me smile today
I vaugly remember the song being "Can we play you every week?"
I was certainly singing it all the way through half time. Cracking day out.

Was at that game, first big away game for my boys as well, at 2-0 down my then 7 year old through the tears said " were going to lose Daddy" i said no son we will win 3-2.

CAFC fans staying in the stands all through half time to wind up the home fans is what really sticks out for me.
I remember You're worse than Aston Villa, and also the Cov fans getting wound up by "we can see you sneaking out", when the half time whistle went.
As others have said - Coventry 2 CAFC 3 in the FA Cup - never been more certain of a win in my life - even when we were losing
Winning at Highbury 4-2
Winning 4-3 at Newcastle in 1992 - in the words of Sir Rowley Birkin QC - "I was very, very drunk!"
Winning 2-1 at Villa in 1989 and a rare Leaburn goal
Yeovil in the rain last season - hilarious day
[quote][cite]Posted By: Weegie Addick[/cite] Man U away in 1986. Was like winning the Cup Final.[/quote]
That was special coming after a 4-0 lumping at Forest which I also was at. Didn't Atkinson get sacked following that game?
But Villa was the best, kept us alive for another week and so many incidents. 7 Goals two sendings off, Brownie in goal. Rufus nightmare pass a cross the area, Villa keeper punches into own net in the first minute .. magic!!
I know people talk about orient away last season, but for me this seasons game was better. Everything was going against us, conceded and dailly sent off, when wagstaff's left footed curler hit the net it was simply incredible.
Carlisle away 2010- game was class and was smashed! Peterboro away 2010- Great result and loud lively support. Palace 2007- Must of had about 7k there and nicked it late on. Wolves 2003- 0-4 Orient 2009- Atmosphere superb
Brighton 0-7 1983 (You had to be there to believe it! 5-0 at half-time! Character building!) Fulham 1983 won 1-0 (Paul Curtis 87) my first away win. Man City 1984...1-0 (Chris Jones) Brighton 1985...5-3 (Martin Keown scored for them) Man Utd 1986 1-0 (Mark Stuart) West Ham 1986 3-1 (Jim Melrose 9 second goal) Newcastle 1987 3-0 (Crooks, Miller and Leaburn) Aston Villa 1989 2-1 (Caton, Leaburn) Middlesboro 1990...2-1 (last min penalty from Tommy Caton) Newcastle 4-3 1992 (3-0 down, 89th min winner...Pardew credited but it was a Liam O'Brien OG) Blackburn FA Cup 1-0 1994 (Darren Pitcher...big deflection). Wimbledon League Cup 1995....won 5-4 (Bowyer hat-trick, Garland screamer and Grant mazy run). QPR 1996 2-1 (Gary Poole and Bradley Allen)
Did anyone see Leaburn get a hat-trick as I did! 95 as I recall @ Portman Road, we won 5-1!!! Other classic's like Highbury 4-2, Highfield Road 3-2 and Carlise this season! So many to think of, did have some great away wins!
I was living in Brum at the time and had to buy a ticket on the day so I was sitting with the Villa fans (not the Holte end, thankfully). We just refused to give up, even went we went down to ten men. I remember a beautiful moment when Martin Pringle was hauled back. His body stopped but his legs went on. Arms and legs everywhere - like Bambi on ice.
By the time we got the fourth goal (a free kick from Mills I think, with a couple of deflections on the way) I was on my feet and screaming. The Villa fans were very generous at the end, saying that we were the best team they had had there all season. We were relegated the following week!
Bristol Rovers away 5-5 (At Eastville 1976-77) Portsmouth away FA Cup replay 1976 3.0 ( Huge away support) Ipswich away 5-1 (Leaburn Hat-Trick) Norwich Away 4-0 (Mendonca Hat Trick) Millwall away in the snow 2-0 ( Best result and performance at Millwall in my lifetime) C Palace away 1-0 (2000 Kitson) Tottenham away FA Cup 1-1 Newcastle away 4-3(were 3.0 down) Coventry away FA Cup 3-2 (were 2.0 down) QPR away League Cup 1976 1-1( Quality support from thousands of Charlton) Aston Villa away 4-3( Nearly kept us up) Man City away at Maine Road 2-2( Another classy goalkeeping display from Steve Brown and a dramatic late equaliser from Steve Jones that sent us absolutely crazy)
Loads more brilliant away days, just can`t recall them all right now!
Quote from E-cafc "Bristol Rovers away 5-5 (At Eastville 1976-77)" This was my only trip to Eastville! What a match to go to. Quite something.
Quote from Simonsen "Brighton 0-7 1983 (You had to be there to believe it! 5-0 at half-time! Character building!)" The most amazing thing about this match was that we were total pants but the fans were brilliant. Sung throughout the match, even cheered the goals too. At the end, the players came over to clap the fans and they were clapped and cheered back. Charlton players get booed off the park if they only draw on occasions these days. Have the fans changed or do our players give the impression that they don't give a toss now?
The daftest thing about the Brighton 0-7 was that we had two efforts kicked off the line before they scored. Then the roof fell in, I remember the conga lines up and down the terraces and an attempted pitch invasion when we got a corner!
The two Carlisle promotions were great, another one was the 2-2 at Highbury a couple of days before it was announced we were going back to The Valley. The rumours were already going round, a real buzz that night, especially when McKenzie shredded their defence and scored.

Man City away at Maine Road 2-2( Another classy goalkeeping display from Steve Brown and a dramatic late equaliser from Steve Jones that sent us absolutely crazy)
That was a great one, about 500 Charlton there under the lights midweek game, right up against the City fans who gave it absolute big time when they went 2-1 up in the last minute, but then up popped Jonesy in injury time.
Now the walk back to the car through Moss Side after that one was pretty edgy.
Comments
That one is definitely in my top five

1-1 at Newcastle with 10 men first season in the Premier League.
Bent's debut at Sunderland.
Mine for sure. Even though I was sober for it.
Thats the mark of a good game.

Plenty of others but tried to narrow it down to 5

Leaburns Hat trick at Portman Road
Blackburn in the FA cup (seemed at the time the stand was really high)
Millwall in the snow Bowyer was imense
Old Trafford in the quarter final and when Schmichael was sent off for hauling down Kim Grant I thought well just maybe!
Man City away one of Scott Parkers first starts and we won to turn the corner and have a good season
Chelsea in the Carling Cup when Huth gifted Darren Bent the chance and we all knew that he would score
And every game where we beat the Nigels at Sainsburys especially Dennis in the last minuite
I still have to pinch myself sometimes to make sure I've not dreamt it.

And Saints away 06/07...Iwelumo last minute header. Amazing celebrations.
