For all Parky's faults, the guy had class

Just seen the following from Parky. Class until the end, and for that I respect him (not that I disagree with the decision).

  • Yes he did have class. Maybe his mangerial skills weren't tip top, but he deserved to stay at the end of the season. One of my favourites at Charlton.
  • Yes, a very good man, with very good principles. However, not the man to lead us into the Championship, nor manage us there - out of his depth
  • Out of his depth is a little harsh, as I said on the other thread, tainted by association with Pardew. If he had been a 'fresh' appointment I think he would have had more chance with our support, but how much that would have affected the team, I don't know
  • That was so good of him to say that. I actually really feel for him after seeing this.
  • look yes he was a nice guy never in doubt had great integrity over the last couple of seasons and yes it might be harsh too some

hats off to him remains dignified and that will only strengthen the feeling from within the game he is worth a punt i hope he gets the preston job it would be an ideal role for him he will be on a hiding to nothing.

that is nail right on the head
  • Dignified and always has been. Right decision for him to leave but yes the man has class.
  • Parky is a gentleman and a good manager I am sad to see hon go. Be careful what you wish for guys
  • A man of class.

Certainly no one should be celebrating just yet.

  • Fair play to him, very dignified. I wish him luck, but I am glad he is no longer in charge here. He'll get another chance somewhere else before long.
