It was mentioned on Sky the other day that the window doesn't officially open until the 4th because the FA don't class these as working days, so a club can sign a player but they could not feature in any games before this date.

Don't think that is correct as Craig Noone is making his debut for Brighton at Exeter tomorrow.

possible to register as a loan player until the transfer is finalised later... that is a standard football league trick these days and I'm sure I read of a club doing it only just this week
EDIT: Aaron Wilbraham to Norwich - he started for them as a "loanee" on Saturday and will sign for them for an undisclosed fee this week
Would rather see some good loans - this is not the right window to buy players as they are often over inflated. How about Phillips or somebody similar?
I heard there's some midfielder with Prem/international experience looking for a loan move to the UK. He's a Londoner and currently playing for a side in LA. Getting on a bit, but could do a job for us. Can't think of his name though???!!!
Can't see us spending money other than wages..... Seems to be the way forward down the leagues, taking players off of clubs hands who can no longer afford them.....pretty much what MS said in his first interview, which in turn mimics what RM has said frequently in t he last 18 months
Can't see anything on their website but according to the 'Paper Talk' section on Sky Sports the Daily Mail reckon we are in for Nathan Eccleston on loan.

young Liverpool striker, hardly played any first team football. We need experience and pace up top
We were linked with Eccleston before , he's played in their first team now . I'd be happy but on other reports I've read he is destined for the Championship.
I notice Hudders have let Lee Croft return to Derby .He is a creative midfielder Could he be worth a punt ?

absolute hogwash if you ask me!
BWP rumoured to be going to Bris City
Off to Millwall, Morisson to Fulham -- allegedly
If we can match that.....
I know but just imagine how cool it would be to see him in a Charlton shirt
I'm sure someone could "photoshop" that for you!
Similar to McQuoid going to Millwall.
you heard it first.

who is he?
That's so leftfield it's either a private joke or true!
Spotted by our actual owner? He plays in Qatar

So has Kyel Reid. Let's hope Ecclestone has a footballing brain.

Don't even know if he has anymore Oggster, he looks a bit hefty of late... can't remember many of our players going so far backwards so quickly
