Very, very poor - Swindon unlucky not to be 2 or 3 in front.
No idea what our gameplan is, other than hit & hope. I think it was NLA who hit the nail on the head the other day, we could buy the best, most creative midfielder in the world, it wouldn't matter as every ball is launched over his head hoping for Benson to "knock it on".
Elliott has been very poor, Francis woeful defensively, McCormack & Racon anonymous & Reid/Martin about as threatening as a wet tea-bag.
I would take Mccormack off, replace him with Abbott/Sodje & go 4-4-2, as they are over-running us in midfield - at least by getting some more bodies in the middle of the park we might nick a point.
watching this on a stream....we look pants, we're second to the ball, look as though we have no confidence and cant play 4-3-3. Lucky with our goal and theirs has been coming for awhile. Parky needs to put a rocket up their collective arses.....or we will lose......c'mon for gods sake!!
Don't want to sound like I'm trying to make a scapegoat of anyone, but Francis has been a walking bloody disaster zone recently. Not sure he's put a foot right so far tonight and almost every Swindon chance has come from a cross from our right back position.
We can't play 4-3-3 with Benson either, he just can't hold it up well enough against centre halfs the size of Swindon's. Martin's having a 'wrong option' night too.
Back to 4-4-2 second half. Sodje on for Martin to try and get the ball staying up front for a bit longer or at least make Swindon's learances a bit more difficult and hurried. Push Ally Mack wide right with the option to bring Waggy on later. Consider Jenkinson on for Francis too as he played well at Brentford the other night, or maybe Dailly to RB and Doc on.
we may pull out a win,but lets be honest the football we play is awful, long ball hoping to feed off swindon mistakes or deflections, play football win or lose just play it.

Most teams I watch do play decent football, whatever standard, except us, used to be our strong point that we were good to watch but for the past 4 years we must honestly be one of the most shiity boring teams to watch.
Parkinsons Colchester used to play blinding football, maybe we do just have a lot more shut in the side thatn what we think.
I think fortune has been decent. Clearing most of their corners with headers. Granted he jyat hoofs it but his main job is to stop goals not create them
bloody hell I must be watching a different game as Elliot has kept us in it with a couple of good saves, Fortune has been better than Doherty in defense but I do agree that hoofing the ball up to Benson is useless, lets go 4-4-2 by leaving Reid & Martin on the wings but replace McC with Abbott or Sodje
I just don't understand Francis at all, at Colchester they played good football so surely Parky must not want him constantly hoofing the ball up the field to no one. I'd like to think so anyway.

When we've played well we have played good football. Our problem at the moment is we have no foothold in the final third. The ball stuck to Benson once in the first half (illegally) that led to a neat run and pass by Racon, a good cross from Reid and ultimately a goal from Jacko. The shot was fortunate to find it's way in, but the build up was good.
Benson is a finisher though - he's not suited to playing back to goal lone striker stuff so subsequently we can't build attacks around him like we could, say, Burton last year. We miss Anyinsah, but sadly his biscuit bones mean we can't rely on him either.
It's an area that needs addressing in January as Sodje is another injury prone player and Abbott just ain't cutting it.

The answer is on the back of the Swindon shirts.

If this is trying to impress new owners then Fck mine.
Absolutely two bob 1st half. They just can't keep the ball, when we deliver there is nobody in the box, same old shit served up year on year.
Losing patience with Parky now and I've constantly backed him.
