Said it on the match thread, but I reckon they will be this season's Norwich. Their start was quite poor as they had a clueless manager, but they clearly have a decent team.

Having sacked Pardew and got a decent manager in I think they will now go from strength to strength and win the league. Hope I am wrong, but if not it means having to catch Brighton (6 points ahead) or go through the play offs - if we are to be promoted.

Certainly all to play for, especially if we can bring some players in and send our manager to tactics school but Southamptons move into 2nd seems ominous to me.

Southampton will most likely win this league but as you say if we can bring in some decent players we have a great chance of winning it also.

You are probably correct about Southampton - they do seem to be hammering their opposition. However, if you look at the table there are twelve clubs from 2nd to 13th separated by only four points. Any team that gets into any sort of form will get into an automatic promotion place. We are well placed, but so is half of the League 1.

I doubt it, we will be adding to the squad though. But I think we will be more focused on keeping Oxlade, Lallana, Lambert and Fonte.

No one is surprised to see Southampton in the top 2 but there is a long way to go and they have played 3 more home games than many. There away form isn't that convincing so they could still drop points.

Said before the season started they should be winning the league with the money they have spent. Over £2m on Lambert and Fonte alone. With Adkins they most likely will.

No stand out teams this year - including us. They will be there or there abouts for sure but if we get a new striker or find a way to keep Joe fit and we are more than a match for them.

I think everyone assumes Southampton will definately be up there at the end of the season, suprised to see any differing views. In a division of utter, utter dross any team that can afford to leave Lee Barnard on the bench will surely come good.

He's just come back from an operation which is why he has been on the bench lately, otherwise he would most probably be starting.

January is going to be a very interesting month for League One in my opinion, I can't see any of our rivals losing their key players but I can see us losing Chambo which would be a massive blow and Lallana is out of contract at the end of the season so no doubt there will be some offers this month that will be below our valuation of the player.

League One is quite poor this season compared to last season, whoever goes up to The Championship will be in a relegation battle if they don't add a fair bit to their squad.

Don't know if it makes any difference but saints have played 13 home games to their 8 away games so far
so they may have a bit more to do than you think

Said when Pardew was in charge that Southampton would not go up. Adkins coming in has given them a better chance but I still believe that the best they will do is lose in the play-offs.
