thank god it's been called off. we at least can't shoot ourselves in the foot, before our proposed takeover, by losing our third match in a row, phewwww!
Great team to watch, though. 12 goals in their last two games - and still 25 mins to go !
Results like this make you think it really shouldn't be too hard to get out of this division, as even the ''good'' teams aren't much cop and are perfectly likely to follow a six goal feast one week by by getting stuffed by a very mediocre side the next...
Lucky 13. I'm sure Wednesday fans are delighted to be watching such an exciting team...
There's the flip side to what you say, which is that anyone can beat anyone in this division, and very few teams will get an easy game at St James Park
You can almost feel sorry for Sheffield Wednesday.
On the back of a thumping 6-2 victory, all they had to do today was get 3 points - at 'a club nobody has ever heard' of to go top of the League.
They lost 5-1 and now every team in the promotion race has 2 games in hand on them.
No doubt their very own Suicide Squad will be venomous tonight.
But it just goes to show, that however much you feel about your famous club rolling over nondescript teams, you should never underestimate opponents who raise their game to claim a big scalp.
After todays result, more proof that any team with half a clue will be able to get out of this pub league
So I currently view us as 7% automatics 80% playoffs and fingers crossed we don't have to play the mighty exeter inn in them and 13% we equal our worse spell of third flight football since we entered the football league and the apologists can remind us that we are a third division team with third division players and I can bore remind everyone we have the home support of a championship side and the away support of a non league team and that this league really is poooo :-(
only trying to help people with the percentages ;-)
they were spot on last year when people thought we were about to slide out of the play off positions my judgement was spot on , as was my view that we wouldn't win the play offs ....
i know my charlton , we're play off bound again!

We won at Luton.
Lost to walsall , lost the cup tie to brentford and can't lose to hartlepool is what he was getting at
So most teams will have 2 games in hand on the Owls after today.
2 weeks ago Swindon v Sheff Weds was the only fixture to play, Swindon winning.
Come on you Grecians!
And apart from Sheffield Wednesday, so has everyone else!
We did have to play 3 games in 6 days though.
And only four out-field players started all three games, so we are going to be pretty rusty by our next run-out on Dec 26.
But hopefully Soton will be,too.
If weather permits,of course, we will play three games in seven days over Xmas/New Year...
They're not capitalising on the chance

They only want one more

It's just what we hope to do at Spurs, after all.
Garth Crooks and Matty Holland.
Unless we get Exeter in the play-offs!!!
Very true lol.
Not that near, given we missed our first three penalty kicks...
But on reflection, I don't think any of ours were actually as bad as Rooney and Drogba last week !
