Not sure that is fair, he also paid fees for Worner and Abbot didn't he.....oh!
re Benson - when we play to his strengths he looks a good purchase. Unfortunately we dont do that enough and so it seems a bit of a waste of money. If we want to score goals, which we know benson is capable of, parky needs to change our style of play.
Benson was superb at both Swindon and Peterborough, unfortunately for him they were both away from the Valley so not too many people saw it.
The quality of service into the front men has generally been pretty poor in the last 2 or 3 games. Anyinsah still looks okay as he has the pace to chase down an inacurate pass and a bit more power to hold defenders off with. You can't expect Benno to make up 5/10 yards on a defender chasing a channel ball and if you want him to hold it up, then you need to play it him with some accuracy as he's not strong enough hold off a hulking great defender AND control a difficult pass. The early crosses have dried up a bit too. Reidy was doing this on Tuesday, but he only had Abbott to aim at who was always 5 yards behind play. Had Benno started on Tuesday, he may well have got on the end of one those centres.
Whilst I think this is a nothing rumour if I were Parky I would actually start to fear for my Job, I am sure whoever is in negotiations to Take us over has watched the last four of five games, how impressed would you be watching that utter garbage? First person to go is always the Manager.....

When Benson was scoring, Doherty wasnt hoofing the ball over our midfield (which makes them seem poor as they dont get a touch) the ball was being played in well to the strikers either Racon or Semedo passing tidily up to the wingers for the crosses or forward to the strikers.
Three million at this level would be a very significant transfer kitty though I don't honestly imagine it will be anything like that much unless it's a very wealthy takeover group. I guess the other key thing is what wages can they pay? Better players will not only comand a higher transfer fee but probably higher wage bill too that will also be an issue. Adam Le Fondre is a name we often see and a proven goal scorer in Div 2 but I haven't seen him personally.

If so, probably total BS.

Where would you strengthen if you had a nice 3 mill to spend.

This is just my opinion on things.
