Played precisely how they had in other away performances such as Posh and Swindon in my book. The one difference was the lack of goals, so I can see where those with dreams of Wembley would immediately label the side as poor in every other department, too.
When you consider the fact that Benson should have won a penalty, Martin was extremely unfortunate with the bounce of the ball during a goalmouth scramble and a great late flurry from Brentford added gloss to their otherwise average attacking credentials, and consider how the Addicks played two days prior as well as during their last visit to Griffin Park, the trademark Charlton Fan Moans Of Eternal Petulance (tm) aren't *quite* as justified as they seem.
Far from a dominant performance, but then as mentioned before, some of the side's best results this season weren't either.
It can easily be argued that Charlton need to get more ideas in the final third, yet I hear nobody rightly arguing this when they win games on the break. It's been an issue all season but things could be far worse.
