keeper said it all he was told Jackson goes down the middle, the yeovil keeper nearly did the same, I think Johnnie will have to miss it up now, I was out tonight and come in at 2-0 down on pens, how did we play ?

Not happy in the end with that performance, I am bearing in mind I've only had the opportunity of watching a few games on 'live' streaming', but have delivered a match thread each weekend via CAFC commentary, but sorry to say this offering was not promotion material.
We seem to have an abject 'disability' to compete, despite me saying at half-time that it seemed better than Sundays match. I dont know whats wrong, but unless they sort it out promotion will be a struggle. We didnt look like scoring all night even with the changes, everything looked as though we were playing at 150 miles per hour....why???? There was little control, passing was at best ok, defending seemed better (I like the look of Jenkinson he should keep his place for Hartlepool imho), but up-front.......crap!! These players are pro's, takeovet talk is not their worry, their worry should be to put in a performance and whatever the outcome off the field is, they should want to be part of it....wouldn't they?????
Haven't looked like scoring in 180+ mins over the last three days.
The only surprise was when Doherty actually managed to put his pen. away.
I've lost patience with Martin. Abbott might as well not have bothered coming out for the second half.
There was no shape tonight, no attacking edge, poor link up between Abbott and the mid-field, nothing at all happening down one side leaving Reed as the only channel...
I'm serious about it being Pardew's fault for stealing our goalkeeping coach. Simon Royce had a session with their keeper this morning, and told him JJ always hits it down the middle etc. Who did the homework for us on the Brentford pen takers and put Elliot through his paces this morning?
Not that we deserved to win , of course, because we were really poor.
I think we compete we just have little creativity, Some people on here have thought the root of the problem is the centre of midfield. In the half-a-dozen times I have seen Charlton this season I have to agree. Racon and Semedo seem to similar to me and cannot link play up leaving the front men isolated. God I wish Kinsella was ten years younger with his clever foward passing.

But we didn't deserve to win. THought we were really poor apart from a few runs from Reed and a decent debut for Jenkinson.
Awful Again
2 of the best penalty saves you will see and done his homework on Jackson.
Pluses - Jenkinson looked ok, Reid got battered but kept going, Dailly brought an air of calmness to the defence.
Minus - Martin poor, Abbott doesnt work hard enough and dont look like scoring.
Brentford were the better side overall, created more chances.
Martin was hopeless, Abbot never does anything.
Bring on January!

Jenkinson impressed for his age, we should give him a few more games under his belt.
Martin was near enough useless, Reid really tried to make a difference, probably the only one that did.
McCormack had some defensive impact, he made a few key clearances, and you could notice how Brentford got better chances once he was subbed off.
