I didn't want take the sticky off topic so I thought I'd start a separate thread.
A few people have mentioned the above pair and how they wouldn't want them around us, what are peoples reasons for this?
Wise in particular seems to be a hate figure. Is this because of his Millwall connections? Because of is aggresive style of play?
Would they have much money? Where does the money come from?

I cant help but feel they are using Varney as a Smokescreen, to make everybody feel comfortable and then once the deal is signed and sealed it doesnt matter what the fans do or say as they are in charge anyway.
I cant help but feel thats whats happening.
I have no idea what they could bring to the club, i have no opinion of them personally, i just feel thats what is happening
Linking him as an investor is completely pointless as he simply hasn't got the personal backing to be a major player in a club acquisition. He does however clearly have contacts who have been skirting interest around in buying football clubs over the last few years as his name has been linked to a few bid interest, including ours in the past.
A more likely scenario would be that if any of his associates acquired a club, he could feasibly be hoisted in on the payroll in some form of Director of Football / Football Management Consultant role.
The fact he was at our last home game is i'm sure what is making some people understandably nervous.
If it was i would be more worried about Wise trying to be manager. And doesn't Jimenez have a bit of a questionable past in the things he's been involved in before with football. I remember reading something with him and Newcastle I think.
Have they even got the money behind them to take over a football club?
Very unlikely to happen in my opinion.
as said earlier these to are brokers probably for someone else middle eastern ? and varney invovled to make us fans have a feel good factor about the whole thing ?
You only need to look at Wise on Wikipedia to remind yourself what a thoroughly unpleasant bloke he is. For example SAF's quote that he could start a fight in an empty room.
Jiminez is a property developer with interests in Spain and Dubai according to Wikipedia. This means he may be considerably less well off than he once was. And as Airman Brown recently wrote on Glynne's list, the words "property developer" should be highlighted in flashing red neon.
It's all about standards....
And why even after the mess RM made he always will be a Charlton legend.
