STATBANK - Goal Scorers

Who is the club's must successful League One goal scorer so far this season? ............

Player------------L1 Goals--- Cup Goals ---L1 Apps--- Cup Apps --- L1 Avg--- Overall Avg
Jackson ------------7-------------- 1---------- 16---------- 5---------- 0.44------- 0.38
Benson--------------7---------------0----------13------------4---------- 0.54-------0.41
Wagstaff-----------5----------------1----------14------------6-----------0.36-------0.30
Racon--------------2----------------2---------- 15-----------7-----------0.13--------0.18
Anyinsah-----------3----------------1-----------6------------2-----------0.50--------0.50
Abbott-------------0----------------3-----------9-------------5----------0.00--------0.21
Martin-------------2----------------1------------13-----------4----------0.15--------0.18
Solly---------------1----------------0------------1------------1----------1.00--------0.50
Fry-----------------1----------------0-----------10------------3----------0.10--------0.08
Reid---------------0----------------1-----------10------------6----------0.00---------0.06
Llera--------------1----------------0-------------5------------3----------0.20--------0.13
McCormack-------1----------------0------------7------------3-----------0.14--------0.10

Normally for appearances a player has to be on the pitch for at least 30 minutes, for these averages I have also included substitutes who have been on the field for less than 30 minutes and scored a goal. The Cup games include, League, Paint Thingy and FA Cups.

So our most successful League One scorer is Chris Solly who has scored one goal in one game, which says a lot about statistics!

However so far this season in League One we do have 2 players, and they are both strikers, who are maintaining an average of 0.5 or above and they are Benson & Anyinsah - now when did that last happen?

  • Thanks for that, LL. Interesting statistics.

On to Solly. Why do you only include Solly's appearance against Bournemouth and not v Orient (when he scored his one goal)?

Any averages from the post Rochdale thread, or will we wait until Tuesday? ;-)
  • Thanks IA for reminding me of Solly's super sup appearance, his revised stats are:

    Solly---------league goals:1, cup goals: 0, L1 apps:2 Cup apps 1, L1 avg: 0.5, Overall avg: 0.33

which just proves that statistics, when compiled correctly, tell the truth !

Rochdale stats - no problem but just deciding on which Tuesday they'll appear !
  • Rochdale stats

    There weren't many there

    :-)
  • Solly must have some kind of record for goals to minutes played - didn't he just get subbed into the game just before his goal?
  • Shouldn't Akpoe be there for his bournemouth goal?
