Teams you hate for no apparent reason

edited December 2010 in General Charlton
Just wondered if any of you hate a particular team but for the life of you can't think of a rational reason for this?
For some unknown reason, mine is Southend. Don't have a scooby as to why, only been there once and we won so it was a pleasent experience. This has been with me for about 20 years and annoys me that i don't have a reason for this. Do I need therapy or am i not alone in this ill feeling for a club that has done me no harm?

  • Oldham. Really hate them.
  • Watford, think it is something to do with the fact that between 2006 and 2009 we were competing with them to stay up, go up and stay up and we never beat them when in some games we dominated and were the victims of bad refs and general bad luck. But no concrete reason- just don't like them.

Wigan aswell, no real idea or reason why.

I'll give you the Wigan one but you fail on Watford as you give reasons as to why. ;-)
  • I hate Millwall, Gillingham, Crystal Palace, Sheffield Wednesday, Newcastle, Middlesborough, Wigan, Southampton, Bristol City, Liverpool, Tottenham, MK Dons, Norwich, Nottingham Forest, Fulham, Manchester United and Wolves in varying degrees of randomness. Most are tiny things like Forests rehash of VFR or Wigans empty stadium but Wolves, Fulham, Wednesday, Bristol? Not a clue!
  • Southampton, Watford for sure..

I hate most of the English teams actually..
  • Fulham, changed my opinion slightly when Woy was there but gone back to disliking them again. Not really sure why, think it might be because they have been lucky to cling on to Premiership football for so long
  • Birmingham for no reason whatsoever
  • Norwich. Mainly because of their fans. Just everything about that club gives me the hump. Chelsea too.

  • Swansea, Cardiff, the Stripey Nigels.....the first two has something to do with them being Welsh, the latter needs no explanation
  • I can always find a reason once I've decided I hate a team. But I guess the nearest would be Newcastle.
  • I can always think of a reason so I am disqualified from this thread.
  • That's because they've got c**t in their name. Next.
  • Sheffield Wednesday, Oldham Athletic (to be fair I have my reasons)
    Fulham, Wigan Athletic
    All the obvious ones too.
  • Blackburn
  • Bolton (scum fans, scum town)
    MK (franchise fc)
  • West Ham

I don't hate them, but I don't like Nottingham Forest. No idea why

Liverpool are a strange black hole of emotion. I have no feelings on them whatsoever. They could win every match in a season or lose them all and I'd just think 'meh'.

I can explain why I hate everyone else.

  • Forest for me
  • Stoke City.
  • newcastle, middlesborough, spurs and dartford
  • Russia & Qatar.

Can't think why, always hated 'em.
  • Cheers Macronate, nice one there. For me its the Arse, Everton, Middlesboro, QPR and Watford for no reason at all. Hate most of the others but will always
    find some reason.
  • Valencia. Can't think why - I have relatives there, but none of them are real fans, and have never had any animosity to any of their players.

Apart from that, always had a special dislike for Norwich - without ever really knowing why
  • spurs arsenal qpr stripy nigels
  • Southampton

    No Mark place

    No Mark Fans

    No Mark Club

infact it is proberly the one place that i wouldnt care if i never went to again

    Stain on the british Isles
  • I don't hate teams for no reasons but I suppose hating a team because they bore me is no reason, so...

    MK Dons (franchise)
    Wigan (stick to rugby)
    Fulham (jealous of them)
Yeovil (middle of knowhere, terrible fan base)
Walsall (took about 50 fans to the Valley on a sunny Saturday)
Norwich (they sung Ei Ei Eio about 200 times at the Valley last season, godsakes find another promotion song!)
  • west ham. jumped up ponces of supporters.
