Joe Carter made his debut for Aveley last night, playing alongside Tamer Tuna (who has 4 goals for them in 4 games, a hat trick in one and a penalty on Saturday).

Lewis Perkins has joined Ben Davisson at Hastings Utd.

Freddie Warren is at Concord Rangers and has made 4 starts and 4 sub apps.
  • Tamer Tuna's loan with Aveley has been extended by a month. Now on 5 goals for them.

Conor Gough has signed for Lewes (Blue Square South) on a work experience loan. Barnet were apparently interested.

Good sign he's going to that level, we've have/had older players on loan in the level below.
  • Funny enough Scoham I was talking to a certain Mr Barness this morning about Conor Gough joining them on loan. I said that I hadn't heard anything but he confirmed that they were told yesterday. He also confirmed that he is likely to start on Saturday which will be good experience for him, although the way Lewes are playing he is likely to be a busy boy.
  • I think it is good with young players to loan a couple to the same club - it would help them settle in more quickly having a 'mate' with them
  • Ben Godfrey joined Lewes this season, could've been a factor in Conors move!

One good game for Lewes and Gough has already moved up the football ladder... 2 places higher in the league to St Albans City.

They're taking him for the rest of the season, good news.
  • Interesting times for Lewes , this was in the Mirror the other day about Nigella Lawson investing in them

NIGELLA Lawson is better known for grilling steaks, but she has just bought a stake in Lewes Football Club.

TV’s Domestic Goddess, 51, has a £1,000 single share in the struggling Sussex non-league side. It was taken over last year by six media luvvie fans led by Nigella’s playwright pal, Patrick Marber.

Fellow chef Delia Smith, 70, helped save Championship side Norwich from bankruptcy back in 1997. Now Rooks fans are praying that Nigella will inject some much needed cash – and maybe even dish up some quality half time tucker at their club’s ground, The Dripping Pan.

One fan said: “At least we might be able to beat the competition on catering. Nigella burgers would go down a treat.”
  • Nigella Bangers would be more appropriate
