Garmin updates

Has anyone downloaded the free map update on Garmin sat-nav (the one you get within 60 days of purchase).

I'm attempting it now but it has been on processing for about an hour.

Is this right? If it is does anyone know how long the update takes?

it's doing my head in. PLEASE HELP.

mine took ages too, probably best if you go away and flick through some questionable literature and pop back to it before your Missus comes home.

I dont remember any problems with mine. I had a message come up on it last week reminding me to up-date.
£50, I figure most of the UK has had all its roads built by now.
