  • Bloody hell that was quick AFKA! You wait 14 games for an update and then you get 2 at once! Am I sensing you find it a bit easier to muster enthusiasm for these when we'er winning? ;-)

I know you probably have some kind of official source for your match stats but I'm pretty sure that shots n target figure is wrong - their keeper made at least two saves in the first half and we scored 3, so we must have hit the target at least 5 times. Pretty sure we had more than just those two shots saved/blocked too.
  • Excellent. Nobody tell Threadkiller or Oohaah that Robbie's average in 6.66!!!

Other stats. Top away scorers in the division are now Charlton Athletic (15) Hudds and Swindon have 13 each.

Lowest home scorers in the division are Sheff Weds (5) just ahead of Bristol Rovers and Charlton both on 7.

These i think are official Football League stats, which once the new official site moves over to the generic site you'll be seeing a lot more prominently. To be honest, i've never taken them as gospel and questioned myself a few times how accurate they are. But there is nothing else out there to work off, so its the best we're going to get.
  • Fair enough AFKA, I suspected as much and wasn't trying to call you out - more just make other lifers aware as that stat suggests we were a bit lucky to come away with three goals, when we were actually creating a lot more chances than that stat suggests.

I have a very concrete example of what you're saying:

    Brentford 1 Bournemouth 1

Unless penalties don't contribute towards shots on target, then Brentford clearly had more than 0 shots on target based on the video footage of the game.

The FL site also gave Abbott an assist in the Orient game, when it was Martin who set up Wagstaff for his goal.

  • I love Stabank. Maybe there's some way to systematically harness the input of those that were there to correct the FL stats. Maybe a review committee.
