The stats speak for themselves in a lot of places.

Very interesting how many ever presents we had this time last season - EIGHT compared to ONE this season.

Surprised to see we actually have less yellow cards this year - thought we were supposed to be the dirtiest side in the league!

    Great info!
I think the number of goals scored / conceded in the closing period says much about our season so far and is why I can't relax until the wistle has blown!

Brilliant stuff - really interesting to see the comparisons with last season. Thanks for doing it.

Great stuff I love the statbank!

Impressive - we did get of to a wonder start last season and got a bit dodgy through the Autumn and Winter so the next comparrisons will be even more interesting. Keep up the good work.

Excellent stats, and once again when it builds to the record of a whole season it will reflect pretty accuratly on how things have gone.

I can only presume that with the change in sports scientist, the team is now fitter which is why we are seeing so many more late goals. Very interesting comparison, thanks.

cheers AFKA, excellent thread once again

Crickey! thanks for taking the time to put this together.

Interesting people rated the Sheff Weds performance on a par with Orient , lets hope we can carry on at that level , rather than the Brighton level.

    once again great stats

its interesting that we have only scored 4 less than this time last yr, esp after the start we had last yr i would have assumed would have been alot further apart (saying that 4 last week helped somewhat!!, just as the 7 conceeded in 2 games really didnt help)

I understand it takes alot of time and obviously youve got more things to do than compile the stat bank but someone had been comparing like for like results/teams from last yr, that would be a great addition to statbank

After 9 games last season we had scored 20, compared to 11 this season. But last season we then went 3 games without scoring a goal (Col A, Leeds A, Oldham H).

    Good work AFKA as always.

Great stuff as usual - many thanks.

Is it worth sharing these with Parky and the coaching team? Sure they track a lot of this, but won't have the insight from the player ratings, nor perhaps the totals afetr 14 games. Serious suggestion...

    Top stuff Dan

Interesting to note that oppo's shots on target in 09/10 was 5.8 resulting in 0.83 goals and in 10/11 it is almost identical at 5.9 but with an increase in goals to 1.43.

Is this due to oppo's strikers being more deadly this year or our keeper being worse?

    Great return for Statbank!

AFKA in answer to your question yesterday this is brilliant information and a highlight of the site. It really would be missed if it was no longer done. I had however forgotten how detailed it was and realise the amount of work you must put into it it. Well done and thanks.

Top man - we all love a stat or two - but this is stiffy material. You should call it "wank bank". Hmm, maybe not!
