Bad and pride (in the name of love)
  • The Wanderer (with Johnny Cash)
  • Promised You a Miracle
    Waterfront
    All The Things She Said

Oh sorry they are Simple Minds songs, the band U2 try so desperately to be......
    Wish I could like & lol  :D
  • Many years ago, when I still listened to music on an iPod, there was a problem with the overnight backup and I somehow lost all the music I had put on my iPod at the time. To my horror, on the way to work I discovered the only thing left was that bloody U2 album they shoved down every iTunes users throat.

I still didn't listen to it.

Oh blimey, I remember that.  Everyone was in uproar over it!

The Joshua Tree is one of the best albums of all time.
Whoever quoted me on the other thread, Joshua Tree over War all day long.
I could see why the OP had potentially started the thread and changed my answer accordingly...
  • Seeing as the other thread got shut down.....

    With or without you
    All I want is you
Yes, that is strange. Although it is I who demonstrated the crossover. I’m going to repost here my comments from the other thread:

It was only right we put The Joshua Tree album on when we visited Joshua Tree National Park in California.
I did that too. Probably loads of people do. Personally I only went there in order to do it! It was so long ago now that I had it on a 90 minute cassette with The Unforgettable Fire on the other side.

The best thing about that National Park was the people. I was hitch-hiking and a guy picked me up, took me rockclimbing and let me stay over at his place. A woman who I think worked at the information centre let me stay at her place too. All I remember about her was doing a tour of her extremely dry garden of cactuses.

Anyway, back on thread (and I thought about this a little without checking online before clicking on it):

      In God’s Country
      A Sort of Homecoming
Daddy’s gonna pay for your crashed car
Even Better than the real thing
      An Cat Dubh
      Wire
      I Will Follow
      Beautiful Day

I was a big fan. The Zoo TV tour at Earl’s Court is unforgettable.

However,  I wish they’d stop. They’re boring and they're spoiling their legacy.

Best album by far.  Oh the irony.
By far? In 2010 you said:

      ’With or Without You

      Bullet the Blue Sky
      Trip Through Your Wires
      Get On Your Boots

The Joshua Tree is one of the best albums of all time’.

The most deleted album in history.
