  • Jazzyjazzyjazzy: Let's hope so mate, it was rocking when we were singing and that reflected on how we were playing at the time. When we singing and are loud we do play so much better. COYR :-)
  • Could somebody describe the bit of skill Martin pulled off? Have never heard our fans so happy that a player attempted a bit of skill!
  • Could somebody describe the bit of skill Martin pulled off? Have never heard our fans so happy that a player attempted a bit of skill!
  • Elliot - 7 Looked assured.
Francis - 8 Power, drive and quality.
Dailly - 8 Class in everything he did.
Doherty - 8 The two blocks in 5 seconds were magnificent. Mellor got nothing out of him or Dailly.
Fry - 7.5 So mature for a player of such little experience. I can't see a major weakness in his game.
Wagstaff - 7 His distance shooting is so accurate...great technique. Fitness is top notch...just needs to take the rest of his game up a bit. It will happen in time but for now we can just enjoy his goals.
Semedo - 8 He was everywhere. Worried when he got the card but he didn't let us down. He's so important for the team.
Racon - 8 All that was missing were some shots. Looked very fit and confident. Consistency is the key now.
Jackson - 6 Might grow into the role but we shouldn't expect him to skin too many full backs.
Benson - 8 Deserved a goal. His hold up play and headers were excellent.
Ayinsah - 7 Still looks a bit unfit but gave it everything. Touch wasn't quite there at times but hopefully that's due to rustiness. Has the potential to be a big threat.
Martin 7 - Think the cameo roles suit him...and us.

The ball was going out of play for a throw in not too far from the half way line. Martin put his foot on it and stopped it on the line. As the Sheff W player slid towards him, in one slick movement Martin flicked it past him, down the line and was away.

Martin sort of spun 360 degrees, great piece of skill.

Elliot - 6- not too much to do
Francis -6.5- solid enough. didnt get forward too much
Dailly -7- solid at the back
Doherty - 6.5- generally solid although still unconvincing at times and lacks composure on the ball however this isnt a major problem for a defender. Brilliant aerially
Fry - 6.5- Francis, solid but unspectacular. looks like he is uncomfortable going forward
Wagstaff -8- started like a house on fire, great finish, faded a little in the 2nd half
Semedo -7.5- his usual self, looked composed on the ball. i though he seemed slightly more willing to attack than usual
Racon -7.5- looks a good player when he actually gets involved. rarely lost the ball, great close control and made a few promising runs
Jackson -6- didnt do anything wrong but struggled to get involved. suffers from lack of pace for when playing at LM. Tracks back well though
Benson - 7.5- looks confident, got involved in build up a lot more, impressive in the air. sometimes first touch let him down
Ayinsah -7- gave their defenders kittens, because of his blistering speed as much as anything. willing to chase lost causes and benson's knock downs
Martin N/A - 6.5- chronic dive, one brilliant piece of skill, not much else. still good option to have off the bench

Decent performance from us yesterday. Parky seems to have changed the style of play slightly. more patient and not so direct now. first half we were great and deserved to lead, second half we looked nervous and went forward with less purpose, afraid to lose a goal. Confidence still seems to be slightly fragile, which is understandable. Hopefully a couple more good performances and that will change. Defence looks shaky. Waggy was brilliant. Benson and Anyinsah has promise as a partnership. If we get something at Swindon i might start to get excited

Yes yes yes my point exactly! every fan should be up and singing, if your a charlton fan and making the Valley loud def makes them play better, then why not get up and sing along?! glad you agree tho.

  • Elliot - 6 did nothing wrong, but you can't give him a higher mark just because Wednesday's forwards weren't good enough to trouble him much
Francis - 7 excellent first-half and got forward really well. But started to look like the weakest link defensively the longer the second-half went on. Doc helped him out at least twice after errors
    Dailly - 7 solid
Doherty - 7.5 cracking second-half when he really laid it on the line with some crucial blocks. Don't understand why some seem to have made the new Omo
Fry - 7 starting to like him
Wagstaff - 8.5 created panic in their defence. never stopped running. a few wrong decisions in second-half, but he was still irrrepresible and it seems unbelievable that a couple of weeks ago a lot of people on here wanted to drop him for Martin
    Semedo - 8 class act
Racon - 8.5 Jekyll & Hyde. The good one turned up on Sat. As good as I've seen him
Jackson - 7.5 you have to conclude that it was his presence that enabled S&R to play as superbly as they did. Marked him up half a point for that alone and would keep him there and leave KR on the bench when he's fit again
Benson - 8 Made himself a really awkward presence. Their defence must have really hated him by 4.55pm.
Ayinsah - 8 At last Parky has found a striker with pace whom he can also trust to do the other things footballers are supposed to do

Fans - 10 Just shows that if you give us decent football, everyone will stand and applaud. Think the excellence of the dead-ball delivery and the first-time crossing had a lot to do with that. Nothing pisses the crowd off more than wasted corners/free-kicks and useless crosses straight to the keeper. After a few balls like that (which for most of this season has been our default operation) , it's no wonder fans get on the players backs. Generally , the players get the fans they deserve - even at the Valley. On Sat, they earned our acclaim - and they got it big time.
  • Elliot - 7.5 Clean sheet a big improvement, distribution pretty good, took a couple of crosses too.
Francis - 8 best game for us so far, why? because he's the daddy!
Dailly - 7.5 The usual consistently good standard.
Doherty - 7.5 Good stoppers display.
Fry - 7.5 brought a good save out of Weaver, and grew into the game.
Wagstaff - 8.5 Goal, and all round threat, great attitude and effort.
Semedo - 8 Getting more and more authority on the pitch.
Racon - 9 MOM Quite outstanding, not my favourite player, but if he keeps this up all season we're going up.
Jackson - 7 Good, not great.
Benson - 7.5 better not best.
Ayinsah - 8 Pain in the arris for defenders, great pace, great signing for us at this moment.

Parkinson 8.5 A win, well managed, problems addressed in training judging by defensive display.

Sheff Wendy 7, tought to beat.
Sheff Wendy fans 7 for their wit, but they are having a hard time at the moment, something is very sour at that club.

Our fans 7.5 Supportive, but didn't start the Waggy Trousers chant, so a disappointment there.

    Oh

    Martin N/A - 7. 5 for the trick.
