Hi fellas
I am a Wednesday fan and come in peace!
Just after a bit of info regarding our upcoming game, which I am considering coming to.
I am staying in a hotel in Hertford for reasons aside form football on the Saturday night and am considering coming to the game prior to going to the hotel. I could do with being at the hotel no later than 6.30pm.
I have little experience of travel times around London and the outskirts so do you think it'd be possible to get away and up to Hertford for that time? What about if I were to leave the ground on 80 mins or so?
Also, is there any parking nearby the ground or is this a big pain in the backside?
Cheers for your assistance.

I live very close to Hertford and can talk you through the best travel options.
Whisper me and we can have a chat by phone or e-mail.
Dave
Can anyone recommend a particular car park that's close enough to the ground and easy to get away from, bearing in mind I'll be leaving a few minutes ahead and don't want to be boxed in?
Much appreciated.
Going through London would be a nightmare and you can never be sure of the M25 no matter what time of day.
This poor bloke might not get back to his hotel till well past his intended time!
You will struggle to make it back within 90 minutes mate.
Through Blackwall Tunnel(if it is open that weekend) stay on A12 to Redbridge roundabout, take A406 to the A10, then follow to Hertford!
Would be better off parking in the roads just before the flyover! A 5 minute walk from the ground!
Thank you so much!
I've just realised that the hotel is not in Hertford itself but in a place called Newgate Street Village, which is a little closer to London and as such should shave ten minutes or so off the travel time.
By the looks of it I reckon if I leave on 80-85 minutes, park nearby with easy access to escape, get my foot down and rely on a little luck I ought to be back for 6:30 with time to spare.
Cheers!
take a look at this map. See Victoria way on there... park off one of the roads on there as then when you head up to the woolwich road (down when you're actually driving) you turn left and you will be close to the blackwall tunnell. Bernard Ashley drive is a good one. 5 mins from the Valley.
it would take an hour tops
