Sodje's injury?

edited October 2010 in General Charlton
I haven't heard anything about it which normally means he's gone for a while.

Anyone heard how bad it is?

  • Who Akpo?
    Whats happened to him?
  • The Plymouth preview on the OS mentioned him, though no details.

"Akpo Sodje was absent with a knee injury sustained at Brentford."
  • People who were at the Brentford match mentioned on here that Akpo seemed to twist his knee in the last minute.

it happened right in front of us. To me it seemed as though he had a shot on target and then fainted. Maybe he is still in shock ?

Nothing on the OS at the time just like Youga's injury against Bristol Rovers.

Expect Akpo to disappear into the same black hole as Youga himself, Cory Gibbs etc, etc back to Garry Poole.

What is it about Charlton players and long term injuries?
  • Don't think Parky mentioned it in his Thursday interview last week, would have thought the fact he did not play was more precautionary than anything.

Should I accept your version of events, Mr Large?
  • What is the update on Youga?

He did take a shot then he couldn't put any weight on it, hopefully just it was just a slight twist and he just needs a week or 2's rest, but with no-one saying anything it wouldn't surprise me to see him gone for months
  • Will put the question at the meeting with PP on Thursday if no news forthcoming by then

  • Akpo was meant to be undergoing a fitness test before the Plymouth game. So I presume he failed, but isn't too far away.

Having said that Youga was only expected to miss a maximum of 1 game :-)
  • He was actually unlucky not to score. Good save. Hope he is ok.

I get a bit more worried when we're informed someone is a couple of weeks away. I'm still waiting to see Poole and Rowett
