Can you teach a young dog MooTricks?

We tend to comment along the lines of 'Things haven't been right since Curbs left', rightly slate Dowie and Pardew, but then go on to blame Parky for all our current ills. It's obviously not that simple so I was wondering what effect the highly paid non-footballing footballers might be having on the playing squad. They've taken lower wages and/or pay cuts which won't have delighted them. Yet Moo2 learnt that he could do absolutely nothing and keep his high salary whilst turning down lesser paid jobs. He was reportedly a friend of Youga who is now something of a mystery, but I did wonder if he's he's playing the Moo2 game. My suspicions are based on no hard evidence but on hearing a couple of loose comments from someone who was in a position to know. It must be bloomin' hard to manage a squad if someone is getting paid a higher wage, doing light training, but it's believed that they're pulling a fast one. We so much need Kelly back, but I've got a bad feeling about this one. I'd be interested to know what you guys are thinking.

Comments

  • Really need someone with links to the club to comment on this rather than the normal speculation. I would have thought that Youga would want to get playing time on the pitch given his lengthy absence if only to prove to prospective employers he is worth a new contract at the value he is on at the moment.
  • At the seat cleaning day Parky made some comment about Youga's problem being more mental than physical - read into that what you will.
