Team for MK Dons

edited October 2010 in General Charlton
We have to play 6 regulars at MK Dons, but I have no idea who should play, would like to see Dailly and Fortune together as I think at div 1 they could be an awesome partnership. So maybe

Elliot
Solly (If fit) Fortune Dailly Fry
Wagstaff Semedo Jackson Reid (if fit)
Abbott Akpoe (If fit)

Otherwise Francis, Martin, Benson

Francis Fortune Dailly Fry

Wagstaff Semedo Stavrinou Jackson

Abbott Martin/Sodje

Given Robbie's recent problems with elbow & back, probably best to rest him with Plymouth in mind. Francis has no fit competition at RB so is there by default. Agree with Kap that it'll be interesting to see how Fortune & Dailly pair up, plus Doc deserves a rest. Racon has had 2 decent games, but MK Dons away might not be his kind of game and Stav deserves a run out. Hopefully Reid is now fit, but I'd prefer to keep him fresh for Saturday. Also a good opportunity to pull Benson out and let the other strikers have a go....would prefer to see Akpo start if he is fit...didn't look too good on Saturday when he hobbled off.
• I'd honestly play our best 11 (apart from Robbie maybe).

We need wins to get some momentum and belief going.

What if our best 11 loses?

Another question: does Parkinson know what our best 11 is?

If we start getting overrun in Midfield then take one of the strikers off for Francis/Solly if fit and play 4-5-1 bringing Semedo back in the middle.
It's only a pony cup game so may be worth experimenting with the centre midfielders and with the way Francis has been playing may be worth putting Semedo back there to sure up the defence

Best 11 lost at the weekend so it wouldn't be much different.

If Parkinson isn't 100% on who his best 11 are (and I suspect you may be right) then sureley giving him another oppertunity to see who he currenlty thinks are the strongest would be his best move ?
• ----------------Elliot
---Francis Fortune Dailly Fry
--------------Semedo
Wagstaff Racon Jackson Martin
---------------Abbott
• I just want to avoid injuries and cards in this one.

However if Youga is still training perhaps a run out for part of this one might not be a bad thing?

Does anyone?
• Worner

Francis
Fortune (he needs games)
Dailly
Fry

Martin
Racon
Stavinrou
Jackson

Wagstaff (worth a go through the middle, his finishing is excellent and with raw pace- think he could be really influential)
Abbott
• Agree on trying out waggy up top with a bigger striker, what's the worst that could happen?

• I'd still keep Elliot in goal as he has misssed a few games so needs to build his sharpness up.
• I don't think there is any need to start Dailly, no point in risking him when Doherty and Fortune are up to the job. I'd like to see Abbot start and also see a game for Akpo and Solly if fit.
• Just like playing Football Manager, innit..?
• Jenkinson at RB in place of Francis?
• [cite]Posted By: RedZed333[/cite]Just like playing Football Manager, innit..?

Livingstone have just offered me a job with a £23m transfer budget, mind you it is 2026
• F*ckall cup... time to try something different

Worner
Forch Doc Dailey
Semedo
Waggy
Jackson
Reid Martin
Abbott
Benson
• Worner(no point risking rob), Jenkinson (would of had Solly, he can't be worse than Francis), Fortune, Dailly/Doc, Jackson, Waggy, Semedo, Racin, Reid, Sodje, Abbot (Let's get the two forwards on the score sheet)....... Not too many changes as even though it's a Micky Mouse cup we could do with a win! I'm well up for giving Jenkinson a go at RB, Fortune needs the matches as do Abbot and Sodje.

Up the Addicks, I like the team I would just change it around slightly. My version of that would be:

Worner
Fortune Doherty Dailly
Semedo
Wagstaff Jackson Reid
Martin
Abbott Benson

Although with yours you have Waggy and Jackson who could act as wing backs when we don't have the ball which is a good idea.

Warner

Solly
Dailly
Fortune
Jackson

Wagstaff
Semedo
Racon
Reid

Martin

Anyinsah

why dont we try something new, get Martin involved using his obvious skill to put some balls through or over the top for the pace of anyinsah. Waggy and Racon should be told to get in the game more, both are good players on their day

I had the same team as you before i thought about wingbacks :)

• Anyinsah still doubtful
• Stick Wagstaff up front with a big lad, he's not the best winger in the world crossing-wise but he's obviously got an eye for goal, he's scored more than enough goals in terms of expectation and he's missed a fair few sitters as well, shows his positioning is there - get him on the shoulder running on to knock downs/flick ons... by all accounts we can't be any worse than we were on Saturday unless we don't bother turning up to the ground!
