Great Support

edited October 2010 in General Charlton
Hi all Boys and Girls of Charlton Athletic

Was at the game today and just wanted to post on your messageboard the great support you showed before the game by joining in with our minute applause for one of our Brentford legends (Jim Towers) who sadly passed away recently and for not making any obscene chants / noises as some sets of fans tend to do. Just wanted to pass on my thanks and appreciation to all Charlton fans that were present.

Thank you.

Best of luck for the rest of the season!

    Seconded
  • Thirded. no problemo Hanwell and congrats on the win, it's a shame some days the fans put in more effort than most of the players.. I'm sure 99% of the crowd could do a throw-in, but our players couldn't grasp it. :-)

p.s. don't suppose you were the guy in red just near the away fans? ;o)

'fraid not no.....i was sat upper teir Bees United Stand (to the right of the away support) above the halfway line.
  • That fat bugger in the red moved to the other end of the stand at halftime

Well said Hanwell Bee. Registered on here just to say the same. Considering he was one of our "legends", and probably not heard of by Charlton fans, the respect shown was first class.

Makes a refreshing change from the normal nonsense.
  • Just read about him in the program 153 league goals in 262 games , impressive

On another point well done to the old un at half time who kicked the ball into the centre circle for that golf??? competition , he was a lot more accurate than most of our players :-(
