both correct
You won't believe this, but last week I put all the Charlton players since the war into Excel to test for the letters in each player's surname. I originally wrote the program that works out combinations of letters etc. for something I posted on my own website (www.footballcynic.com) for all of the names of football teams in England (league and non-league). I plan to publish the quiz on here. I noticed Oosthuizen and had to find out more. So, one week ago, I had never heard of Mr Oosthuizen! My quiz is find players with unusual letters in their names. Let's finish your one and I will publish mine as the Thursday quiz.
correct but explain to the younger readers
Look forward to your quiz and I need to borrow that spreadsheet!
Tony Hazell played for Charlton in the late 70's having been signed from our friends in Selhurst. At the same time, there was a TV series called Hazell which was co-written by Terry Venables (yes, the England manager-to-be). I didn't watch it too much, but I guess Hazell was bit like our Tel.
Hazell (the TV show) was great - Nicholas Ball played the lead and there was a Scottish cop called 'Choc' Minty. Tony Hazell the player was, as I recall, pretty awful.
