  • Seems like he has been put through the mill a bit by the club.

Seen another side of Parky in those quotes. Let's hope Joe becomes that "find" of the season.
  • I am reliably informed his agent negotiated a £250 per goal bonus into his contract.
  • Leroy rosenior said that he is impressed at Carlisle's start especially after losing their best two players, Harte and Anyinsah
  • "It was a good move at the time going to Preston and then onto Carlisle which is obviously a million miles away from Bristol."

Its not obvious to me unless they have stretched England

As long as he keeps scoring thats fine by me!

Carlisle is a million miles from everywhere!
  • Looked alright when he came on but in fairness, following the performance of Abbot and Benson, it would have been difficult for him to look worse.

Looks like he has a bit of pace and took his goal well.
  • Joe has the potential to be our signing of the season.

All game Benson and Abbott waddled around.
    Didnt really do much.
Then all of a sudden the Notts back four had to deal with heavy legs and the pace of Akpo & Joe.
I think it was a good move from Parky.

Joe is better than Benson IMHO.
  • Whisper it, but I thought that instinctive finish had something reminiscent of the lovely Darren Bent about it - very powerful shot across the goalie. A while since I've seen a Charlton striker do that - on his debut too.

    through his legs
  • I know this is a bit of a generalisation and people will quote Lineker and Owen at me but generally speaking, i like a centre forward who might scare you if you bumped into them in a dark alley - Benson and Abbott would scare me, but not necessarily for the right reasons, Joe A would.

Puts on tin hat having opened himself up to all sorts of PC and football logic practitioners.
  • Bizarre!

I prefer a striker who puts the ball in the net.

As long as it's between consenting adults why would I care what they do to you in an alley?
  • Crock alert, crock alert!

(he's seeing a spinal specialist now - we always seem to get one each season don't we, shame cos he seemed half decent)

Now that Benson has broken his duck, he has probably already booked himself into rehab.
  • Joe will be a hit me thinks!
