Benson writes for the Standard?

Nice little article in tonights paper? His own little column. We're a nice club the team only make new joiners sing but not dance as well. Will link article in morning. Unless someone else can.

  • Well thanks nathan. Like his last para. Been brought here to score goals! Well good luck sunshine!
  • Wow so it's really was 250k. Hope he starts scoring he seems like a really good guy

would have thought the 250k in brackets was put in by the paper and not by Benson himself.
  • Have to laugh at the irony. J Still says play to his strengths and he will score goals. Comment in article 'I am still having to get used to a new system and way of playing'
  • Reckon he will get a goal saturday now after reading that good article, seems like a nice bloke lets hope he can do well and do what he has come here to do score goals
  • Not another elvis fan, booooo!

Would have been well impressed if he had learnt the words to 'Valley Floyd Road' though ;0)
  • It'll be good if our crowd actually get behind Benson
  • I think that this one transfer will be the making or breaking of Parkinson. Paul Benson was the one player that he has held out to secure, spending both 1 month and (reportedly) £250k to bring him in and now, according to the player himself, is having to adapt to a different way of playing.

If he doesn't start scoring soon then heads will have to roll..............starting with Parky's.

having seen Dagenham play I'm glad Benson has to adapt to a different way of playing.

Good luck to Daggers but if we played like they did people would be screaming about long ball, long ball. We get enough of that now and we're not a long ball team, it's just that the FBs are sometime too keen/under pressure to hit it early

  • Before putting it in the book of facts the £250k was put in square brackets. it was the editor put it in and not part of his quote.
I hope he gets a good a reception tommorrow - strikers thrive on confidence and love more than anyone

It's important we get right behind him from the off, even if he misses a couple of chances. Jason Euell started off terribly for us but developed into a good player. Not saying Benson has started to follow that pattern, but I'm dreading people writing him off straight away if it doesn't click immediately.
  • rubbish throw things at him and try and hit him that will work better than the happy clappy way

Andy Hunt got off to a slow start as well, if I remember rightly...

Looking forward to seeing Benno tomorrow.
