The club have said that the funding for the coming year was already in place and though he was the owner Nicola Cortese was doing the running of the club. Nevertheless it will create some uncertainty - I wonder whether a Swiss based family are going to want a football club in L1 in the UK, but that is something that will be sorted out after his will is probated.
[cite]Posted By: Swisdom[/cite]Apparently Nicola Cortese is going to see Liebherrs dream through. Not sure if that's good or bad for Saints or Pardew
RIP mr Liebherr
Well Cortese has been running the club since Liebherr took over last July, so good news if he decides to stay on.
Hopefully things will be clearer on the position of the club in the next week or so.
A very bad day for Saints, he was a great man. The type of owner anyone would want, he appeared to enjoy match days as much as the die hard fan despite only getting into football early last year.
Thanks for your respectful comments Charlton fans, they're much appreciated.
Really sad news. Looked like he really loved the game and sounded like a top man. Pards spoke really highly about him on goals on Sunday last season saying how he didn't want the team to argue with refs etc. RIP
Rip, a good interview with a guy from southampton on talksport yesterday. Apprently he was worth 200 billion. Makes craines apprently. The club will be passed onto his children, let's hope and I mean this we don't have another gretna on our hands.

I wonder how that will affect the club ownership?
RIP
Thank you for saving this great club Markus, you've refilled the fans and club with pride.
RIP.
I only heard of him because he gave Pardew a job.
The club must be feeling the shock wave.
RIP
