I saw Lee play about 4 years ago as an 18 year old when he was on loan at Rangers under Paul le Guen. He made a great debut and I had a bet with my mate that he will be playing for England in the next World Cup. I lost my bet as obviously Lee didn't develop as well as expected. At the time Alex Ferguson had high hopes for him.

He has great talent and I don't know what has gone wrong with his career but injuries seem to have affected him, he sounds like he has the right attitude and wants to do well at Charlton. If he can play like he did in his first few games at Rangers then we have a gem of a player on our hands. Pity that we will probably not be able to afford him and he'll go back to Ipswich, especially if we do go up and he ends up playing against us!
  • Good interview.

Saying what you'd expect any new signing at any club to say, of course, but interesting about the Breaker link and having lived in Bromley since he was three.
  • Looks like he wants to play in an attacking midfield role according to official site
