Good to see, wonder if he just means one striker or even two. With Smart here that gives us 4 wingers (plus Jackson), if he doesn't sign a longer deal we might look at replacing him as well.
Although Martin has just said he's expecting to play up front in that interview. Or at least "in that forward role". So I would suggest he just wants one forward and that it's Benson. Go on Parky, go for Brodie!

From what Maglor's Dad said about Brodie, Im not sure he would be good for us....apparently has a bit of a temper and can lash out....also as Maglor said in the pub.....is Brodies record any better than Fleetwoods?
We have tow big centre forwards now....so would we be going after a third in Benson? Having said that, Id rather have the latter of the two as at least Benson has been quite prolific in league football as opposed to just non league....time will tell chaps....
I agree with Tel. I would prefer to bring in another type of forward rather than Benson, who is more of the same and getting on a bit. Also, he would cost a big chunk of our war chest and I would rather see it spent on a nippier striker that is a bit more mobile.
Another question is, could Martin play that role? I've got a feeling he could adapt to it well....as long as he's got the finishing to go with it!

seen Brodie linked with a 100k move to Walsall.
