Bartrams. . Let's have a whip round for a new TV

The drop down screen and projector in Bartrams is rubbish. It's a job to see unless it's pitch dark. Why did they take out all the TV's in there ? So, forget the clock whip round. Lets put the money towards a couple of flat screens in Bartrams !!!!

    I've got a 28inch Panasonic flat screen one I'm willing to give away. It's a few years old, one of the big silver deep back ones but it's on it's stand and all in perfect working order.......can't even give it away at the moment cause everyone just wants little thin flatscreens

    I'm gonna get a new one as soon as someone takes this off my hands....weighs a ton though !

    Wouldn't Bartrams be a good source of income for the club on a matchday, if only the beer was decent, beer lines were cleaned properly and the TV screens were good. Both the pre & post match custome would soon generate any small investment.

    I havnt been in there since we had that night in there with sasa illic, good point tho mate, how much do we put into the liberal, the con club club the oak pre and post match? The club would be glad for the extra money.

    Bartrams is a good facillity and should be packed before and after every game. The bar is good but the beer offering is poor. The girls behind the bar are good but it is lacking some leadership. Two new flat screens ans some inovative promotion of the bar would see matchday revenues increase. S&N are the beer supplier and I'm sure they would invest in a one off purchase of screens if you can increase the barrelage.

    Don't think there's much wrong with the place, the service can be a bit slow, but the customers don't help.

    I'd like a pint of fosters.
    *gets pint*
    And another pint of Fosters
    *gets second pint*
    And a Guiness
    *Guiness gets poured.*
    And some crisps
    *brief discussion about crisp types is resolved*
    And another Fosters.

    It belongs in another thread, but I'd make it illegal to go to a bar and get anything that you don't ask for in your initial order.

    I've been in the liberal before and a bloke orded16 drinks!!! All of various largers spirts and ale.. those around with me were not amused, as people kept comming over and adding to his order. Having sad that the service in the liberal was bloody quick on Saturday mainly due to the fact it was half empty I'm gussing tho..

    I'm sitting in Bartrams now and that poxy projector they got from the market looks like it's about to give up the ghost . Hopefully they might invest in a couple of TV's now.

    The social club at Dagenham was much better. A bit basic, but I bet it takes more money than Bartrams.

    Does Bartrams get packed on match days, does it do hot food? i haven't been in there for years , turned me off when it used to be a sports bar, now going in there doesn't even enter my head , is it a commercial success? i feel embarassed i know so little about it! is it a clique inside?

    I never think of going in because tbh I thought it was still attached to some matchday package ala premiership days. On that basis I don't think it's marketed very well and needs a shake up. Surely the club can afford a couple of tv screens !
