Whether the posts on here are negative or positive, the one thing that bonds us is our love for Charlton Athletic Football Club. It is our club, it is a special club, and we have much to be proud of. Back in the mid-eighties when it looked increasingly likely that we would fold and die, the core of our support rallied and saved the club. During the years of exile we could only dream of having The Valley back as our home and having over eight thousand season ticket holders, with crowds of 15 to 20,000 each week. But those were dreams which come true and got even better during the Premiership years. Yes, our fall from grace has been rapid and deeply disturbing, but we still have our club and we can dream again. As long as I can walk down Floyd Road on a Saturday afternoon with my kids, and know that I can give my heart and soul to the team I love for ninety minutes, that is enough to give me hope.
Furthermore, when I see thousands of like-minded souls who have the same purpose and fire in their bellies as me, I know that we can, and will, rise again and take our place at the top table of football.
My love for Charlton, the badge, the stadium, the fans, the values, the history and the pride of being a supporter can always overcome even the most disappointing performances and management. All the mercenaries will come and go but we will remain steadfast and true to our passion for Charlton Athletic Football Club.
So dust down your lucky pants, your shirts and scarves (in the winter) and let us start the revival of our great club.
Starting Saturday, at The Valley, whether successful or not, let us show that we, Charlton, are the finest supporters in the land and that we will love and follow our club forever.
Come on you Addicks!

They went in the skip years ago...
So it's all your fault , Red Zed .........that's why we plummeted from the Prem to the Third Division .......?
)
And of course we will - our day will come round again. Success comes in cycles for most clubs, to one degree or another.
You just have to live long enough!
Go and support someone else then, with a "non" pony support then
If our support was pony we would still be playing at Selhurst Park. We have great support. We are Charlton.
Shame that's generally been dashed by September but I shall enjoy again while I can!
