I feel rather guilty almost two years on at losing my temper over the Pardew debacle. Richard Murray provided the very best of times for me as a Charlton supporter, and it was wonderful seeing him so ecstatic on Wembley Way in 98. Best wishes and a speedy recovery, and one hopes many more years watching Charlton once more back on the up.
The last 3 or 4 years have upset us all and you have received some flak. However without your input and support of Alan Curbishley we would never have had the good times we are now missing.

I don't think you will find many other clubs where the chairman would receive this amount of good wishes. Maybe we are all a bit quick to forget that in these troubled times!
I think it's testimony to the high esteem that Richard is held in that this thread is full of nothing but our very best wishes for a speedy recovery. Good to hear he’s on the mend.
My Dad had a stent fitted last year, i took him to Denmark hill for 8am and picked him at half 3, didn't look any different! A fairly simple op now by all means.

Indeed, all the very best Richard.
My mates Dad has just gone in for heart op - he kept it very quiet these last 25 years that his old man is Richard Murray.
