Amazing that two weeks ago some people were screaming that the deal was as good as done etc etc and why were the Club lying to us blah blah blah.

And when I said it wasn't done you dismissed that.

Do you not ever think about what you post or learn from past mistakes.
  • Borough Market?
  • I have learnt, Henners, that's why I was telling coltsgoalie that its not official until its on the OS.
  • Price not agreed yet, still waiting to see if we get the last ball he kicked, back.

does that include the Boro official site ? Need to know in case it appears there first.
  • You forget so soon.

"Bailey deal done" has already appeared on the Boro OS about 10 days ago.

I think you will find that at one stage they said he had passed a medical, another they said terms were agreed with him, another that terms were agreed with us but they have never said deal done or deal completed or words to that affect.

I thought they did say it was done and was about to be done which is the same thing surely. : - )

As part of the Boro deal, Charlton must give 25% of their £900,000 profit on Bailey - £225,000 – to Southend United

Would that suggest then that it is a full £1.4mil payment, albeit probably in installments, as opposed to being dependant on promotion/appearances etc. Otherwise surely Southend wouldn't be due £225,000.

Maybe I'm just reading too much into it...
  • 1.4 mill excellent sell first good thing parkys done
  • I don't think Parky had much to do with it, or much choice. Let's see who he gets in to replace him.
  • PS So long Nicky, one less ginger at the club :-(
  • shocked. Never saw that coming. Why didnt the club warn us?

    Kavanagh out
  • Henry get of your high horse.

Henry is actually 7 feet tall.
    He needs a high horse.

    Otherwise it would be pony.

    ;o)
  • If Southend are getting around £200k that is around the fee Millwall offered for Mccormack .

We could always sell McCormack to Millwall in January, and collect £200k for passing GO.
There - that'll pay the wage bill for a few weeks.

LOL J. and you posted it on here at 1.00 am
  • Decent player, good luck to him I say.
  • Just seen his piece on Sky Sports News. Talked of how he hopes to help Boro into the Premiership.

Does not sound the smartest of people.

Just like he hoped to do with us nearly 2 years ago when he signed. We finished 11th first season back in the Championship, just like Boro did...
  • Would not be surprised to see Boro struggle again next season and finish mid table. Much depends on how Kris Boyd adapts and whether they can improve thier home form. Too often last season they were like Charlton in 2007/2008 and were inconsistent at the Riverside, remember they had lost about 5 home games by xmas including against Plymouth who were bottom at the time. However unlike ourselves, I rate Strachan above Pardew so cannot see them having such a disastrous 2nd Championship season.
