New Home and Awaay kit for next season...?

edited July 2010 in General Charlton
Anyone know when the new home and away kits will be coming out for next season. I'm sure in passed seasons we have heard something by now but still no news, anyone got any inside information? Any idea's on the away kit, heard a rumour it could be green/purple/white and red like back in 1997...

  • Plus I can't spell as the title says 'Awaay', sorry I mean Away!
  • Should be previews in the next week or so (like pictures of part of the collar) like they usually do, and I expect we'll properly see it when we play AFC Wimbledon on the 10th.
  • rumour has it the away kit is blue with a dark blue trim

we'll probably wont find out until the wimbledon game.
  • need some players to model it first ;)
  • The away kit will be in the club shop in November and available (in XXXXXL only) for £5 from March 2011
  • Model it maybe, but also to play well in it...

Dammit - they never cater for the XXXXXXXL fuller figure
  • We have cut the kit budget for next season. We are just going to turn up at every game and say that we forgot the kit. That way we can just borrow the oppositions change shirts.
  • From Twitter:

CAFCofficial I've got the new home kit in front of me. Just wondering which picture to take first for our teaser campaign. Any suggestions? (MW) #cafc
  • bloody tease campaign - why don't they just show us. i don't know of any other clubs that do this sort of thing.

Why dont they just put the bloody thing on sale? They will sell to all the usual suspects and it will bring in some much needed cash.
  • The away kit is worse though they don't normally start selling it till halfway through September!

We are hardly in a position to tease our fans....it is the equivalent of Vanessa Feltz playing hard to get for George Clooney in a room full of supermodels.
  • FFS just put the bloody thing on the OS and start flogging it if we are that skint !!!

    !

    !

    In agreement with that.
  • Cant you people who follow the twitter feed just twitter back saying everyone just wants to see the bloody kit.

Is this how they are gonna reveal new signings - picture of the shin on weds,an arm on the fri, and finally the head on Sun ?
  • Oh stop finding things to complain about! Its hardly like anyone's going to refuse to buy it because it didn't go on sale far enough in advance of the start of the season.

And by the last week of the season there will still be plenty of size XXL3 to go around.

Don't worry, Rothko has already had a mini-hissy fit.
  • I don't see the big issue either way!

  • I am off on my holidays on the 20th I wonder what the odds are of me being able to boost the clubs coffers by just over £40 by then?

He said: Teaser campaigns are a bit 2004, even Umbro don't bother with them anymore. Just release the darn thing.

@CAFCofficial @sachazarb Would that the club was back in 2004! We'd be preparing for a season-opener away at Bolton Wanderers... (MW)

@sachazarb @cafcofficial quite, but time has moved on, &teasing people over a shirt is a bit old fashion! Put out there and get people spending on it
  • They will be teasing it to pass the time because it's not ready to go on sale yet. I'm sure if they wouldn't be keeping a couple thousands shirts in the stockroom because they wanted to run a teasing campaign.
  • Zzzzzzzzzzzz

the question is though, why we do always ever seem to be the only club never ready to sell their new kit until the season starts....doesn't seem to matter who we get to make it!

I don't know the answer, but have West Ham and Millwall's kits been revelaed yet as I believe they both have Macron this season.

Come on Matt, we're running out of things to moan about on here.....release the kit so that it will give us all new ammunition for the next few days to slaughter it's design etc...;o)

(or at least until we sign someone we've never heard of)

I quite agree, what a silly thing to get your knickers in a twist about!
  • I'm not, so I'll be the second person to say this to you today, Grow up
