  • i only ever played for one sunday team, that was pyramid at thamesmead! I didnt even get many games, i was sub goalie! My main team was school, was goalie all through primary and secondary! I used to play on a monday night at Dulwich hamlet (i was like the only cafc there, and boy did i cop stick) which was (i think) 7 a side, but not sure as i used to get bolloxed after in the bar, which was the best bit, 3 pints of stella and was mashed like mashed potatoe! Also had a spell playing at waterfront on a wednesday night, i always had a little cheeky doobie before hand and used to leak 10 plus goals, always mainly won tho! Great days
  • Play for a 6 a side team here in Southampton. I'm only 21 (next week) and quite nippy. Like a young Rommedahl, I can run but can't kick a ball to save my life, and I'm thinking about quitting my team for a Danish one...

Who haven't I played for might be easier. Teviot, Torridon, Welling Albion and The Oak to name a few on Sundays and for Brent in the Spartan League when I was playing properly on a Saturday.
  • Still playing works 5-a-side.

    Not always in goal !!
  • Don't know of any teams that need players? I live in Gravesend and am looking to get back into playing.[/quote]

Home games are at Hall Place in Bexly but most away games are Gravesend.

They will take players on, not a great league to be honest mostly full of thugs who would love nothing more than a punch up on the pitch but I like them sort of games and I am better than most players so it suits. I will give you a contact number if you want.

Yeah, I did in the late 70's & 80's - does that still count?

Played for a few years in the same team as Andy Fordham.......good midfielder he was then

After moving to Cornwall, played Plymouth & District, and East Cornwall Duchy League until last year.

Still playing 5 a side for work.

  • I play centre back for Canmore United - reigning Bow Valley Soccer League Champions. We play in Banff every Sunday morning from May to September. Our team contains Canadians, Portuguese, Brits, Dutch, Ruskis, Japs, Chilean, Spaniards - more nationalities than Arsenal.

In the winter it's indoor football twice a week, all good fun at an altitude of 4000 feet!
  • is that Vets ? :-)
  • AT 45 I no longer play, but used to play for Highgate Albion in the North London Amateur league in the middle late 80's and for London University
  • at the tender age of 36, i haven't played for about 12 years. when i did i played in lkb sunday league and played about half a season for johnson phillips on saturdays (in south london alliance i think).
