Mix of 1st team, youngsters and trialists go down to two 2nd half goals. PARKY: "We gave 45 minutes to everybody, and it was a good exercise on the road to the first day of the season. There are no injuries and the lads have come up well physically and will take that to the next game. In the second half, we had the kids out there, and it gave them a chance to show me and the supporters what they can do.
"They didn't perhaps show up as well as they would have liked, and it can be a bit of a harsh lesson for them sometimes. It's quite tough when you come up against a Conference team, and we weren't quite strong enough. But that's the first 45 minutes we've had, and it's great in pre-season when the youngsters get the chance to play in these types of games. We had a very inexperienced team out there and we got punished. Our supporters know we've got a lot of work to do to.”

We're delighted he has signed for another year and he's come back even fitter.
6th - PARKY - "The freshness and appetite at the training ground has been fantastic. We've brought in players with a lot of experience at this level, and they're good players as well. There are lots of players, hundreds of them, out of contract at the moment, and I could have easily filled the squad with five or six of those players, but it's important I don't settle for mediocrity.
