  • [cite]Posted By: Valley11[/cite]Still a silly marketing technique IMO.

    Why?

Used all the time by much bigger firms than CAFC.

Think of it as foreplay before making beautiful love compared to a quick shag : - )
  • doesnt look like it will look great on beer bellied fans
  • [cite]Posted By: Choice[/cite]doesnt look like it will look great on beer bellied fans

They never do but that never seems to stop said people wearing them : - )
  • Hahaha. Anyway, you've seen it haven't you?

Why not write a description on here in French or Italian?

That way you'll be sticking to the 'tease' mantra AND speaking the language(s) of love.

    Spanish is the loving tongue.

I could tell you but I'd have to kill you : - )
  • NEW VIDEO IDEA: Instead of speaking the language of love, how about first Charlton supporter to be filmed making love to wife/girlfriend/mistress/tart etc in new shirt

you are sick and I'm not sure if you can be trusted to DJ at respectable people's 50th birthday parties.

    : - )

Looks alright I suppose, at least its on sale before the start of the season for a change
  • [cite]Posted By: Simon E[/cite]Looks alright I suppose, at least its on sale before the start of the season for a change

what worries me is some people would actually think like that, Golfie for instance
  • gimmicky pointless ineffective marketing in these times we are currently experiencing in my view, just make the kit good (do some research preferably involving the fans) so people want to buy it, would be far more effective

    cue Henry..
  • no one is forcing you mate, so why slate others who do?

[cite]Posted By: Valley11[/cite]It really is silly not showing the shirt.

Anyway, it's predominantly red so it's a winner in my book.

It works because people are talking about it and will carry on doing that until they see the whole thing, at which point everyone will hate it ; - 0

But people would be talking about it if they just showed the shirt in full.
When it is 'revealed' there is not going to be silence on the boards.

Just show the thing - look at the majority of the posts - people really cant be bothered with this stage by stage release of the pictures.
It is a really small issue, yet it is another example of the club annoying/frustrating the fans.
  • [cite]Posted By: CafcAndy[/cite]Wearing the club shirt, sign of a numpty.

I never wear one to games but always buy one and wear it out and about. So that must make me a strange numpty

and what about kids too, really some of the opinions people spout on here never cease to surprise me.
  • [cite]Posted By: CafcAndy[/cite]Seeing grown men wearing the shirt just makes me giggle. I always wore one as a child!

Everyone is different though i guess!

He he, so why read this thread? I do get what you're saying though. Then you gut the folk who think we should all be ultras and wear colours etc... you just can't win eh..

    people would be moaning whatever.

Don't show shirt = moan that haven't had even a teaser pic
Show shirt = moan that it's ugly
Show bit of shirt = moan that want to see all of it.

It's just a shirt FFS. Don't Apple do all this with their Ipads etc, don't big film co's do this with new blockbusters.

It's the same every year so what's the big surprise. You'll all get to see it soon enough, then you can say how much you hate it, will never buy it and then buy it a week later. ; - )
  • jumper under new shirt does it get better?

  • I am gonna buy one.
    Will pay £3.75 at first.
Then another £7 quid a few days later and so on.
Just so that the merchandising department can get all excited as the whole payment arrives in their account.
They know they will get the money eventually - perhaps they can do an office sweepstake as to when I finally stop teasing them and complete the transaction.
  • Looks exactly like a Crewe Alexander kit, very boring and generic...

[cite]Posted By: ross[/cite]Man Utd, West Ham and Spurs to name a few haven't unveiled their new kits yet either, so don't panic. We'll see it this week anyway.

    Man Utd and Spurs have

Man U shirt will be unveiled in Chicago on July 15th. My firm are the new sponsors.
  • [cite]Posted By: MrOneLung[/cite]moan moan moan!
  • Expertly done, i think you'll agree.
I didnt do this, my mate did. It probably won't end up looking anything like this, but i'll put it up just for the sake of it.
  • I think your right that it wont end up looking anything like that.
