[cite]Posted By: Oggy Red[/cite]I thought Bailey, after a nervous start, was outstanding in that sparkling 4-2 win over top of the league Reading on the telly.
He was great that day and it looked like we'd found the midfield general we'd been missing but he hasn't lived up to that form. Sorry to keep banging this drum but he hasn't made the central spot his own after two seasons, if he was really that good there'd be no question of putting him out wide as he has been time after time.
But the point I made was:
[cite]Posted By: Oggy Red[/cite]Remember him making his debut matches alongside Matty Holland in CM - Matty was a solid and steadying influence on him and enabled him to get forward (much like Matty was when Jonjo made his debut matches).
So maybe Bailey, like Jonjo, needed that old head beside him?
We seem to have got the best out of Bailey in CM, when he had an old head/organiser sitting behind him - Matty Holland could do it. Semedo for all his sterling performances and effectiveness this season, doesn't appear a natural midfield bedfellow for Bailey at CM.
